Barton Abbey is a privately owned house in Oxfordshire, England located in the parish of Steeple Barton. [1] [2] Parts of the building date from the 16th Century but the majority of the structure is Victorian.

Most of the parish's population lives in the village of Middle Barton, about 1 mile (1.6 km) northwest of the settlement of Steeple Barton. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 1,523.
