Mary Jane Thurston State Park is a 591-acre (239 ha) Ohio state park in Wood and Henry Counties, Ohio in the United States. It is named for Mary Jane Thurston, a schoolteacher from Grand Rapids, Ohio who bequeathed 14 acres (57,000 m2) of land for the establishment of a park. The park is along the Maumee River near the remains of the historic Miami and Erie Canal. Mary Jane Thurston State Park is open for year-round recreation including, hunting, fishing and boating, picnicking, camping and hiking.

The Lawrence Lake erratic is a glacial erratic boulder near Lake Lawrence in Thurston County, Washington. The boulder is about 15 feet (4.6 m) tall. Lake Lawrence itself was formed when the Vashon Glaciation created most of the topography seen in the Puget Sound region. The erratic is one of the southernmost in the Puget Sound region, near the limit of the Yelm lobe of the Vashon Glacier in the Rainier area.

Summit Lake is a somewhat deep lake located in the northwest corner in the southwestern county, Thurston County. The lake is located about 7.6 miles east of McCleary, Washington, 9.7 miles W from the state capital of Olympia, and 9.8 miles WNW of Tumwater, Washington. You can access the lake through a Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife owned boat launch. This area is located at the southwestern side of the lake. Some of the fish found in this lake include rainbow trout, kokanee, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, and coastal cutthroat. Summit Lake is a clean fresh water lake with a wide variety of fish. It is a popular lake to fish at in Thurston County and the South Puget Sound.
