Bayview is an unincorporated community centered at the intersection of State Route 525 and Bayview Road on Whidbey Island in Island County, Washington, United States.
It is approximately 5 miles (8 km) west of the town of Clinton, and 4 miles (6 km) south of the city of Langley.
Bayview is a crossroads of commerce on the south end of the island, as it is centrally located, compared to the other three communities. As such, it is home to a hardware store, a craft store, a nursery, a grocery store, an alternative grocery store, and several restaurants. One gas station, a Mobil, sits by the highway. Bayview is also the home of the South Whidbey Seniors' Center, South Whidbey Fire Rescue, and Whidbey Telecom.
Bayview Corner includes a collection of older buildings renovated in the early part of the 21st Century to house an art gallery, nursery, cafes and specialty shops. A farmers' market operates here during the summer months.
The historic Bayview Community Hall is located just south of Bayview Corner. Built in 1927 on donated land with volunteer help, the hall is run as a nonprofit organization and is owned by the people living in the South Whidbey School District.
Across Bayview Road from this area is a renovated Sears kit house. This house was originally built in Greenbank, and for approximately 90 years it occupied a prominent corner at Hwy 525 & Wonn Road on the Greenbank Farm, before being displaced by a highway re-alignment project. It was later renovated and moved to Bayview.
The Bayview Alternative School is across Bayview Road from Bayview Corner. The building was formerly used as a K-12 school and a branch of Skagit Valley College.
Just south of the commercial area on Bayview Road is one of Whidbey Island's off-leash dog parks, Marguerite Brons Memorial Off-Leash Park.
Bayview is not to be confused with Bay View, located on the mainland in Skagit County.
Deception Pass is a strait separating Whidbey Island from Fidalgo Island, in the northwest part of the U.S. state of Washington. It connects Skagit Bay, part of Puget Sound, with the Strait of Juan de Fuca. A pair of bridges known collectively as Deception Pass Bridge cross Deception Pass. The bridges were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Freeland is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) on Whidbey Island in Island County, Washington, United States. At the time of the 2010 census the population was 7,812. The town received its name based on its origins as a socialist commune in the early 1900s: in the eyes of its founders, the land of the town was literally to be free for all people. Some of the first settlers were veterans of a prior experiment in socialism, the nearby Equality Colony.
Keystone is a small unincorporated community on Whidbey Island in Island County, Washington, in the northwestern United States. It is near the Keystone ferry landing, a dock at Keystone Harbor for the Washington State Ferries' Coupeville to Port Townsend route. The route provides a maritime link for State Route 20 across Admiralty Inlet to the Olympic Peninsula. Since its establishment in the 1930s, the ferry route to Port Townsend was known as the Keystone-Port Townsend Ferry; the name was changed in 2010 at the suggestion of the Central Whidbey Chamber of Commerce in order to avoid confusion from tourists and visitors to Whidbey Island.
State Route 525 (SR 525) is a 30.68-mile-long (49.37 km) state highway located in Snohomish and Island counties in the western region of the U.S. state of Washington. SR 525 begins at an interchange with Interstate 5 (I-5) and I-405 in Lynnwood and travels north to SR 99 as a four-lane controlled-access freeway. From Lynnwood, the highway serves Mukilteo and becomes the terminus of SR 526 before taking its ferry route to Clinton on Whidbey Island. SR 525 traverses the island's interior as part of the Whidbey Island Scenic Byway before the designation ends at an intersection with SR 20 south of Coupeville.
Fidalgo Island is an island in Skagit County, Washington, located about 60 mi (97 km) north of Seattle. To the east, it is separated from the mainland by the Swinomish Channel, and from Whidbey Island to the south by Deception Pass. The island is named after the Spanish explorer and cartographer Salvador Fidalgo, who explored the area in 1790.
State Route 20 (SR 20), also known as the North Cascades Highway, is a state highway that traverses the U.S. state of Washington. It is the state's longest highway, traveling 436 miles (702 km) across the northern areas of Washington, from U.S. Route 101 (US 101) at Discovery Bay on the Olympic Peninsula to US 2 near the Idaho state border in Newport. The highway travels across Whidbey Island, North Cascades National Park, the Okanagan Highland, the Kettle River Range, and the Selkirk Mountains. SR 20 connects several major north–south state highways, including Interstate 5 (I-5) in Burlington, US 97 through the Okanogan–Omak area, SR 21 in Republic, and US 395 from Kettle Falls to Colville.
Greenbank is an unincorporated community on Whidbey Island in Island County, Washington, United States.
Washington's 2nd congressional district includes all of Island, San Juan, Skagit, and Whatcom counties, as well as coastal western Snohomish County. It stretches from Bellingham and the Canada–US border in the north down to the Skagit/Snohomish county line, with a narrow strip along the coast running down to Lynnwood and the King/Snohomish county line in the south. Since 2001, it has been represented by Democrat Rick Larsen.
Island Transit is a zero-fare transit system in Island County, Washington, serving Whidbey Island and Camano Island. The system consists of fixed-route bus service, paratransit, and vanpools, and carried a total of 974,899 passengers in 2015. There is no Sunday or holiday service on Island Transit routes.
Whidbey Telecom is a private, independent telecommunications company operating on the South End of Whidbey Island in Washington State, the community of Point Roberts, Washington, and its affiliate Hat Island Telephone Company on Hat (Gedney) Island. Whidbey Telecom has been locally owned and operated since it started business in 1908.
Skagit Valley College (SVC) is a public community college in Mount Vernon, Washington. It serves students in Skagit, Island, and San Juan counties in northwest Washington state. Established in 1926, SVC is as the second-oldest continuously operating community college in the state of Washington. SVC grants academic transfer pathways, professional/technical degrees, and certificates. The academic transfer degree and several professional/technical degrees can be completed online. SVC also offers Basic Education for Adults and Community Education courses. Courses are offered during Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters.
State Route 536 (SR 536) is a 5.38-mile-long (8.66 km) state highway serving Skagit County in the U.S. state of Washington. The highway travels southeast from SR 20 near Fredonia through Mount Vernon to an interchange with Interstate 5 (I-5) on the east side of downtown Mount Vernon. SR 536 was created during the 1964 highway renumbering as a replacement for the Anacortes branch of Primary State Highway 1 (PSH 1). SR 536 was shortened to its current route in 1973 after SR 20 was extended west and a spur route was established to serve Anacortes.
Saratoga Passage lies in Puget Sound between Whidbey Island and Camano Island.
Skagit Bay is a bay and strait located in the U.S. state of Washington. It is part of the Whidbey Island Basin of Puget Sound. The Skagit River empties into Skagit Bay. To the south, Skagit Bay connects with the rest of Puget Sound via Saratoga Passage and Possession Sound. The boundary between Saratoga Passage and Skagit Bay is between Polnell Point on Whidbey Island and Rocky Point on Camano Island. To the northwest, Skagit Bay connects to the Strait of Juan de Fuca via the narrow strait of Deception Pass. A third waterway, the Swinomish Channel, connects Skagit Bay with Padilla Bay to the north.
Port Susan is a bay and strait located in the U.S. state of Washington. Part of the Whidbey Island Basin of Puget Sound, Port Susan is bounded by Camano Island to the west and the mainland to the east. The Stillaguamish River empties into the northern end of Port Susan. To the south, Port Susan connects with the rest of Puget Sound via Possession Sound and Saratoga Passage. A swampy waterway connects the northern end of Port Susan with Skagit Bay. This waterway also separates Camano Island from the mainland.
The Port of Skagit is a port authority that owns and operates four key facilities in Skagit County, Washington. They include the Skagit Regional Airport, Bayview Business Park, the SWIFT Center and the La Conner Marina. The Port of Skagit also maintains an extensive trail system and several properties it owns.
Greenbank Farm is a tourist attraction and community farm in the area of Greenbank on Whidbey Island, run by the Port of Coupeville. Founded in 1904 the farm developed until 1940 when it was sold to a loganberry farmer. By 1970 the farm was the largest Loganberry farm in the United States. In 1977, the farm was sold to community governments to save it from being developed for residential use. Today, the farm leases land to local farmers, acts as a tourist attraction, Island meeting place hosting events, and hosts several small businesses. Its location is on one of the thinnest parts of Whidbey, giving a unique vantage point from its walking trails. To Whidbey residents, it is the divider between the North and South Whidbey.
