beZ bileta is a Belarusian alternative rock band from Minsk active since 1998. [5] [6] [7]

History

The group was formed in Minsk by Vitaly Artist in 1998. [8] Having started with folk songs in Belarusian, by 2004, the band moved on to a more complex electronic and indie rock style. [8]

beZ bileta have won the Rock Coronation Belarusian Music Award on several occasions, including in 2000 as "Discovery of the Year", "Song of the Year" in 2001 for their hit "My Motherland Belarus", [9] [10] [11] and in 2009, where they received the main prize, the "Rock Crown", as well as prizes in the categories "Album of the Year" and "Video of the Year". [12] [13]

The band has performed at numerous festivals, both at home and abroad, including at Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk (Belarus), Basovišča (Poland), Fiesta Borealis (Poland—together with Hair Peace Salon and Jitters), [14] [15] [16] [17] Spirit of Woodstock (Italy), and Good-By (Germany).

At the Lira national music awards of 2012, presented by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and Capital TV, the band was honored in the category "Best Live Show". [18]

Deadhead's Day

For several years, beZ bileta have organized Deadhead's Day, [19] an event which features merchandise giveaways, mini concerts, [20] a song remix contest for musicians from different countries, and a cover song contest. [21] The winner of Deadhead's Day has a chance to perform onstage together with beZ bileta. [22]

Vitaly Artist

The band's frontman, Vitaly Artist, has written music for various films and television productions, including the 2006 Russian action feature Piranha . [23] [24]

Open Space is a pop rock and indie rock band from Minsk, Belarus. Formed in 2006 with an English repertoire and a few Belarusian songs, they later adapted mostly Russian lyrics. The band has released two full albums and several EPs and singles, but in recent years the musicians play together mostly as a cover band. Since 2017, frontman Vitaliy Matievskiy has focused on his synth-pop duo Days of Days, and since 2018 he also writes music for his solo electronic music project MATIVI.

Neuro Dubel is a Belarusian punk rock band originating from Minsk signed by West Records. It was founded by Alaksandar Kulinkovič and his brother-in-law Hienadź Ahiejčyk on 17 July 1989. The band was recognized as Rock-Kings twice at the Rock Coronation Belarusian Music Awards.

Hair Peace Salon is a power pop band from Minsk, Belarus, influenced by Britpop bands and British indie rock. Hair Peace Salon's music is notable in Belarus rock music by its use of English lyrics. The group was founded in 1998, and they have released one full-length album Gentleman, and numerous singles and EPs. In 2013, the members took a break when frontman and co-founder Aleh Vial created another band, Bristeil.

Jitters was a rock band from Minsk, Belarus, which played mostly rock and post-grunge. The band was formed in 1998 and released the album Split Before, Together Now, as well as several EPs. In 2007, Jitters broke up and its members joined other groups: Konstantin Karman teamed up with Hair Peace Salon, and Ivan Barzenka and Pavel Kudrin joined beZ bileta.

Tuzin. Perazagruzka is a compilation album by a dozen of Belarusian bands and solo performers who usually sing in Russian, English, and Italian but made covers of their songs in the Belarusian language. The CD was released by the public movement Budzma Belarusians! together with the music portal Tuzin.fm with the support of the World Association of Belarusians “Baćkaŭščyna” and the Belarusian Radio Racyja in December 2009. The idea of the project belongs to Siarhei Budkin.

Crossing the Jordan is a studio album by Belarusian band Spasenie recorded together with musicians of Chicago band Crossroads and released in 2004. It was recorded in Brest, the producers of the record are Tim Spransy and Daryl Stuermer. The first presentation of the CD in Belarus was held in Minsk on July 29, 2005, with the support of producer Tim Spransy and his band Crossroads at the club Bielaja vieža.

The presentation of the mini-album was held on October 25, 2006, at the Minsk club “Russian: ЁЁ.” In 2007, the EP was re-released as part of the split-album Split Before, Together Now by the band's Hair Peace Salon and Jitters.
