Long Beach is a coastal city in southeastern Los Angeles County, California, United States. It is the 44th-most populous city in the United States, with a population of 451,307 as of 2022. A charter city, Long Beach is the 7th-most populous city in California, the 2nd-most populous city in Los Angeles County, and the largest city in California that is not a county seat.
Malibu is a beach city in the Santa Monica Mountains region of Los Angeles County, California, about 30 miles (48 km) west of Downtown Los Angeles. The 2017 European Beach Volleyball Championship was held from August 16 to August 20, 2017 in Jurmala, Latvia. The draw consisted of 32 men's & 32 women's teams, with 100,000 EUR prize money per gender. A 2,800 stadium was purpose built on Majori beach, with near capacity for most games. EuroBeachVolley awarded as “Sports Event of the Year” from hand Raimonds Vējonis.
The Copa América of Beach Soccer is a biennial international beach soccer tournament contested between the senior men's national teams of the 10 members of CONMEBOL. It is beach soccer's version of the better known Copa América in its parent sport, association football.
