Bear Mattress is an American direct-to-consumer mattress and bedding brand based in Hoboken, New Jersey, USA. [1] Bear is ranked 7 in Inc Magazine's list of fastest growing companies in 2019 after a 13,000% increase in between 2016 and 2018. [2] [1] [3] [4]

History

Bear Mattress was founded on September 1, 2014 by entrepreneurs Scott Paladini.[ citation needed ] In an interview with Tuck, Scott said that his dad was a mattress retailer and ran a large chain of mattress stores which inspired him to continue his family's business and start Bear. [5]

The company focuses on the production of sports mattresses alongside other companies like Eight Sleep, Zoma, Performasleep, ReST, a small segment of the $28.5 billion global mattress industry. [6] [7]
