The Belhaven Blazers are the athletic teams that represent Belhaven University, located in Jackson, Mississippi, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the NCAA Division III ranks, primarily competing in the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) for most of its sports as a founding member since the 2022–23 academic year; while its football team competes in the USA South Athletic Conference (USA South). [2] They were also a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA), primarily competing as an independent in the Mid-East Region of the Division I level. The Blazers previously competed in the D-III American Southwest Conference (ASC) from 2015–16 to 2021–22; in the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC; formerly known as Georgia–Alabama–Carolina Conference (GACC) until after the 2003–04 school year) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) from 2010–11 to 2014–15; and in the HBCU Athletic Conference (HBCUAC; formerly known as Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) until after the 2023–24 school year) from 2002–03 to 2009–10 (which they were a member on a previous stint from 1981–82 to 1999–2000).

The Belhaven Softball team has consistenly been a powerhouse program. The team has been led by Kevin Griffin since 2011, and as of the end of the 2024 season his record with the Blazers is 449-207 (.684). [6] Griffin has been assisted since 2014 by former Blazer Courtney Fairley, who is also the Belhaven Athletic Department's Senior Woman Administrator (SWA). [7]
In 2024 the Blazers' Softball Team finished as the NCAA Division 3 National Runners-Up at the Women's College World Series. The 2024 campaign will go down as one of the best in Belhaven Softball history. The Blazers' 47 wins mark the most in a single season since the 2011 season. Belhaven also made its first-ever NCAA Division III Women's College World Series appearance. The Blazers earned their fourth straight NCAA Regional bid and reached their third consecutive Super Regional. [8]
The Blazers' first became NCAA postseason eligible in 2020, but due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the season was cancelled while the team was competing in the Spring Games in Clermont, FL. So the 2021 season became their first year eligible for postseason competition. [9]
Belhaven University is a private evangelical Christian university in Jackson, Mississippi. Founded in 1883, the university offers traditional majors, programs of general studies, and pre-professional programs in Christian Ministry, Medicine, Dentistry, Law, and Nursing.
The American Southwest Conference (ASC) is an intercollegiate athletic conference, founded in 1996, whose member schools compete in the NCAA's Division III. All member schools are located in the state of Texas. The conference competes in baseball, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's cross country, football, men's and women's golf, men's and women's soccer, softball, men's and women's tennis, men's and women's track and field, and women's volleyball.
The USA South Athletic Conference is an intercollegiate athletic conference which competes in the NCAA's Division III. Member schools are located in North Carolina and Virginia.

The Northern Illinois Huskies are the athletic teams that represent Northern Illinois University (NIU). The Belhaven Blazers football program is the intercollegiate American football team for Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi. The team competes at the Division III level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association NCAA), and is a member of the USA South Athletic Conference. Belhaven's first football team was fielded in 1998. It was a member of the Mid-South Conference in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) from its inception through the 2014 season, after which it joined the NCAA Division III American Southwest Conference. Following the 2021 season, Belhaven planned to move to the USA South, but that conference agreed to split into two leagues after the 2021–22 school year. Belhaven joined the eight USA South members that left to form the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS), which does not sponsor football. As part of the separation agreement, all CCS members with football teams became USA South members in that sport.
The Lake Erie Storm are the athletic teams that represent Lake Erie College, located in Painesville, Ohio, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) since the 2017–18 academic year. The Storm previously competed as a member of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) from 2010–11 to 2016–17; as well as an NCAA D-II Independent from 2008–09 to 2009–10. Prior joining to NCAA Division II, the Storm competed as a member of the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) of the NCAA Division III ranks from 1997–98 to 2007–08.
The Minnesota State Mavericks are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Minnesota State University, Mankato. The school's athletic program includes 21 varsity sports teams. More than 600 students participate each year in athletics for the university. Most of the university's athletic teams compete at the NCAA Division II level in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The men's and women's ice hockey teams compete at the Division I level, respectively in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) and Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). Minnesota State began competition in the NSIC in 2008–09, due to the dissolution of the North Central Conference. It was also one of the seven WCHA men's hockey members that left that league after the 2020–21 season to reestablish the CCHA, a move that led to the demise of the men's side of the WCHA.

The Case Western Reserve Spartans are the varsity intercollegiate athletic teams of Case Western Reserve University, located in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Case Western Reserve University competes at the NCAA Division III level. The Spartans compete in the University Athletic Association (UAA), except in football where the team competes as an associate member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC).
