Benjamin Bargwanna (born 10 April 2001 in Warragul) is a racing driver from Australia. He is the son of Bathurst 1000 winner Jason Bargwanna and grandson to Australian Production Car Champion Harry Bargwanna. [1]
Ben Bargwanna started in karts as a child finishing second in the Victorian Karting Championship KA3 Junior class [2] before moving into various Hyundai Excel series in 2016. [3] [4] In 2017 he finished third in the Hyundai Excel Nations and in 2018 won the Victorian Series. [5]
In 2019 he moved to Formula Ford driving a Spectrum to second in the Victorian Formula Ford Championship. [6] In 2020, he again raced in the Victorian Formula Ford Championship and was leading the point score when the season was cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. [7]
In 2021, he joined his father Jason Bargwanna [8] in the TCR Australia Touring Car Series driving a Peugeot 308. That year he took the 'Rookie of the Year' award [9] and finished tenth in the standings. 2022 he again raced a Peugeot 308, again finishing tenth and winning his first race at Sandown Raceway.
For 2023 Bargwanna again did the whole Australia series along with six rounds of the TCR World Tour in the aging Peugeot 308. He finished seventh in the Australian Series with a pole position and three podiums his highlights.
Bargwanna had his first taste of the S5000 at the first round of the 2021 S5000 Tasman Series running in the top ten. [10] His next race was at the Australian Grand Prix support round in the 2022 S5000 Australian Drivers' Championship again running in the top ten. His first full season was in the 2022 S5000 Tasman Series where he finished on the podium in race two and ended up fifth in the championship.
In 2023 he joined the series for the final three rounds and the S5000 Tasman Series finishing third in points for the Tasman Series.

Jason Eric Bargwanna is an Australian motor racing driver. Best known as a Supercars Championship competitor, Bargwanna raced in the series for 25 years, the pinnacle of which was winning, with Garth Tander, the 2000 Bathurst 1000 in a Garry Rogers Motorsport prepared Holden Commodore. Bargwanna was the Driving Standards Observer for the Supercars Championship from 2014 until 2016.
Garry Rogers Motorsport is an Australian motor racing team. It is owned by retired racing driver Garry Rogers who began the team to further his own racing efforts. Based in Melbourne, originally out of a Nissan dealership owned by Rogers, the team has competed in a variety of touring car series in Australia ranging from relatively modest Nissan production cars to Chevrolet NASCAR race cars to building the GT specification Holden Monaro 427C. The team won the Bathurst 1000 in 2000 and also won both of the Bathurst 24 Hour races which were held in 2002 and 2003. In 2013 the team celebrated its 50th year in racing since Rogers made his debut.
