Cardiff Rugby are one of the four professional Welsh rugby union teams. Based in Cardiff, the team play at Cardiff Arms Park. Originally formed in 1876, from 2003 to 2021 the first team was known as the Cardiff Blues before rebranding back to Cardiff Rugby prior to the start of the 2021–22 season.
The Scarlets are one of the four professional Welsh rugby union teams and are based in Llanelli, Wales. Their home ground is the Parc y Scarlets stadium. Lee Jarvis is a former international Welsh rugby union player who was known as a top points scorer with the boot. His career has been spent in both Wales and England including top level rugby in Wales and in the Celtic League, winning a number of trophies in both countries. He has represented Wales from school level to full international honours as well as being selected by the Barbarians. Despite being tipped as the "next best thing" during his early career and being a great points kicker Jarvis only earned one cap for Wales at full international level. After retiring from rugby union as a player, Jarvis took up coaching. He is currently head coach at Rhydyfelin RFC.
Samuel Kennedy-Warburton, OBE MStJ, commonly known as Sam Warburton, is a Welsh former international rugby union player. Warburton played rugby for Cardiff Rugby and was first capped for Wales in 2009.
Tavis Knoyle is a Wales international rugby union footballer who plays at scrum-half.
Steven Shingler is a professional rugby union player for Ealing Trailfinders in the RFU Championship. His favoured position is Fly-half but he also plays centre and full-back. His older brother Aaron Shingler is a Wales international rugby union player.

Liam Brian Williams is a Welsh professional rugby union player who plays for Kubota Spears in Japan Rugby League One. At international level, he has represented Wales, having made his test debut against New Zealand in 2012, and the British & Irish Lions in 2017 and 2021. Cory Allen is a retired Welsh international rugby union player. A centre or wing, he played for Cardiff Blues and the Ospreys. Allen joined the Dragons in 2021, but did not feature for the side.
Jarrod Evans is a Welsh rugby union player who plays as a fly-half for Harlequins Rugby. He has also represented Wales and Wales U20s.

Louis Rees-Zammit is a Welsh athlete who plays as a professional American football wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League (NFL). He previously played professional rugby union. From 2018 Rees-Zammit played in the position of winger for the Gloucester Rugby club in the English Premiership, and also at international level for Wales between 2020 and 2023 and the British & Irish Lions in 2021. Then, in January 2024, Rees-Zammit declared his intention to swap rugby for American football and leave the United Kingdom and move abroad to the United States in order to play in the NFL, and has since signed to the Jacksonville, Florida team.
Mason Grady is a Welsh professional rugby union player who plays as a centre for United Rugby Championship club Cardiff and the Wales national team.
Immanuel Feyi-Waboso is a professional rugby union player who plays as a wing for Premiership Rugby club Exeter Chiefs and England.
