Benton Township is one of sixteen townships in Cass County, Iowa, United States. As of the 2000 census, its population was 171.
Benton Township covers an area of 34.53 square miles (89.4 km2) and contains no incorporated settlements. According to the USGS, it contains two cemeteries: Highland and Saint Josephs.
Benton County is located in the northwest part of the U.S. state of Indiana, along the border with Illinois. As of 2020, the county's population was 8,719. It contains six incorporated towns as well as several small unincorporated settlements; it is divided into 11 townships which provide local services. The county seat is Fowler.

Saline County was formed on November 2, 1835, and named for the salt water (brine) springs in the area, despite a differing pronunciation from saline.
