The 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup was the eighth Cricket World Cup, organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was co-hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Kenya from 9 February to 23 March 2003. This edition of the World Cup was the first to be played in Africa.
The 1992 Cricket World Cup was the fifth Cricket World Cup, the premier One Day International cricket tournament for men's national teams, organised by the International Cricket Council (ICC). It was held in Australia and New Zealand from 22 February to 25 March 1992, and finished with Pakistan beating England by 22 runs in the final to become the World Cup champions for the first time. The tournament is remembered for the controversial "rain rule".
The 2005 ICC Trophy was a cricket tournament held in Ireland between 1 July and 13 July 2005. It was an international one-day tournament played over 50 overs per side between 12 Associate Members of the International Cricket Council. It served as the final part of the Cricket World Cup qualification process, coming with the prize of a place in the 2007 Cricket World Cup for the five top-ranked teams, and with the prize of official One-Day International status from 1 January 2006 for the five top-ranked teams along with Kenya.
The 2008 ICC World Cricket League Division Five is a cricket tournament that took place between 23 and 31 May 2008 in Jersey. It formed part of the ICC World Cricket League and qualification for the 2011 World Cup tournament. Afghanistan won the competition. They went on to qualify for the 2015 Cricket World Cup and gain Test status in 2017.
The England cricket team toured West Indies from 1 March to 5 May 2004 as part of the 2003–04 West Indian cricket season. The tour included four Tests and seven One Day Internationals.
The Indian cricket team toured Bangladesh for two Test matches and three One Day Internationals in May 2007. The first match was played on 10 May, the first of three ODIs with India defeating Bangladesh by five wickets – less than two months after Bangladesh shocked India by defeating them by five wickets in the World Cup, leading to India's early exit from the competition. India completed the series win with a steady 46-run win, thanks largely in part to Gautam Gambhir's century. The third match was abandoned due to intermittent rain, resulting in a waterlogged pitch – brought on largely in part due to Cyclone Akash which had hit south Bangladesh earlier that day. Leading run scorer of the ODI series and Indian wicket-keeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni took home the player of the series award following a return to form with the bat and 3 dismissals behind the stumps. In the second test match Mohammad Ashraful scored the fastest test fifty in just 27 delivery.
The Sri Lankan cricket team toured Australia between 31 October and 7 November 2010. The tour consisted of one T20I and three One Day Internationals. Sri Lanka's One Day International series victory was their first series win in Australia.
The 2002 ICC Americas Championship was a cricket tournament in Argentina, taking place between 12 March and 16 March 2002. It gave six North and South American Associate and Affiliate members of the International Cricket Council experience of international one-day cricket.
The 2011 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier was an event organised by the International Cricket Council in Ireland in July, 2011. Ten participants competed for the six remaining places in the 2012 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
The 2011–13 ICC World Cricket League Championship was the first edition of the ICC World Cricket League Championship, though the competition had been previously run under the name ICC World Cricket League Division One. It ran from June 2011 until October 2013, in parallel with the first-class 2011–13 ICC Intercontinental Cup, and was contested by the same eight associate and affiliate member teams.
The England cricket team toured Sri Lanka from 21 November to 16 December 2014 playing a seven-match ODI series against the Sri Lankan national cricket team. It was Sri Lanka's first seven-match ODI series played at home. Sri Lanka won the 7-match series 5–2. The series marked the final international matches that Mahela Jayawardene played in his home country and Kumar Sangakkara's final ODIs at home before their retirements after the 2015 Cricket World Cup.
The Bangladesh National Women's Cricket team toured Ireland in September 2016 for a series of two One day internationals (ODI) and two T20Is (T20I) against the Irish side. All the matches were held in Bready Cricket Club in Tyrone.
The 2020 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament that was held in South Africa from 17 January to 9 February 2020. It was the thirteenth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup, and the second to be held in South Africa after the 1998 event. Sixteen teams took part in the tournament, split into four groups of four. The top two teams from each group advanced to the Super League, with the bottom two teams in each group progressing to the Plate League. India were the defending champions.
The 2019 Global T20 Canada was the second edition of the Global T20 Canada, a 20-over professional cricket tournament, played at the CAA Centre, Brampton, Ontario. It started on 25 July 2019, and concluded with the final on 11 August 2019. It was slightly later in the calendar than the previous tournament, to avoid clashing with the 2019 Cricket World Cup. Vancouver Knights are the defending champions. A new team named New York Legends were announced to replace Cricket West Indies B Team. However, the idea was later cancelled, and the Brampton Wolves were named as the sixth franchise team in June 2019.
The South Africa A cricket team toured India from August till September 2019 to play 2 First-class matches and 5 List-A matches.
The 2022 Malaysia Cricket World Cup Challenge League A was the third round of matches in Group A of the 2019–2022 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League, a cricket tournament which formed part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. In October 2019, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed that the Malaysia Cricket Association would host the tournament, with the series scheduled to take place between 16 and 26 March 2020. All of the matches had List A status.
The 2019–20 Regional Super50 was the 46th edition of the Regional Super50, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the Cricket West Indies (CWI). The tournament started on 6 November 2019, with the final taking place on 1 December 2019. The tournament featured the six regular teams of West Indian domestic cricket, the Combined Campuses and Colleges team and the West Indies Emerging Team. The national teams of the United States and Canada also took part. Combined Campuses and Colleges were the defending champions.
The 2020–21 BCB President's Cup was a cricket competition that took place in Bangladesh from 11 to 25 October 2020. It was the first cricket to be played in Bangladesh since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. Three teams took part, with all the matches played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The final was originally scheduled to be played on 23 October, but was moved back to 25 October due to the forecast of bad weather in Dhaka.
The 2022 Canada Cricket World Cup Challenge League A was played in Canada in July and August 2022. It was the second round of matches in Group A of the 2019–2022 ICC Cricket World Cup Challenge League, a cricket tournament which forms part of the qualification pathway to the 2023 Cricket World Cup. All of the matches have List A status, and were played at the Maple Leaf North-West Ground in King City, Ontario. Originally, the tournament was scheduled to take place in August 2021, but was postponed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 2021–22 Women's Senior One Day Trophy was the 16th edition of the women's List A cricket competition in India. It took place from 28 October to 20 November 2021, with 37 teams competing in six round-robin divisions. Railways, who were the defending champions, won their 13th one-day title, beating Karnataka in the final.
