Bernard S. Flint (born January 15, 1940, in New Orleans, Louisiana) is a former New Orleans Police Department detective turned Thoroughbred racehorse trainer who won his 3,500th race on September 13, 2019, at Indiana Grand Race Track. [2]

A graduate of Loyola University and the New Orleans Police Academy, Bernard Flint trained horses on a part-time basis from 1969 until 1976 when he retired from the police force. [3]

His son Steven is also a trainer in Throughbred racing.

Sheldon A. Neeley is an American politician, currently serving as the Mayor of Flint, Michigan. He was elected as Flint's mayor in 2019 and served an abbreviated three-year term before being re-elected in 2022. Neeley is a registered Democrat and a former state representative in Michigan's 34th House district. He served two complete terms and one partial term in the Michigan House of Representatives between 2015 and 2019.
