Bernays Propaganda are a Macedonian post-punk band. [2] They took their name from Edward Bernays' book Propaganda . [2] [7] While their lyrical content contains socio-political lyrics, [7] their sound has drawn comparisons to New Order [3] and Tom Tom Club. [6]

Their 2019 release, Vtora mladost, treta svetska vojna (2nd Youth, 3rd World War [6] ), features American punk bassist Mike Watt and Macedonian jazz guitarist Toni Kitanovski on the track "Nisto nema da ne' razdeli". [6] The track was also donated to Songs From Under the Floorboard, Vol. 1, proceeds of which go to Planned Parenthood. [8]

Ska punk is a fusion genre that mixes ska music and punk rock music together. Ska-core is a subgenre of ska punk that mixes ska with hardcore punk. Early ska punk mixed both 2 tone and ska with hardcore punk. Ska punk tends to feature brass instruments, especially horns such as trumpets, trombones and woodwind instruments like saxophones, making the genre distinct from other forms of punk rock. It is closely tied to third wave ska which reached its zenith in the mid-1990s.

Gouge Away is an American hardcore punk band based in Florida that formed in 2012. The band is influenced by post-hardcore and noise rock bands such as The Jesus Lizard, Fugazi, Unwound, The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower and Nirvana. Gouge Away released its debut album , Dies in 2016 to underground acclaim, and released its second album Burnt Sugar through Deathwish Inc. in 2018.

Toni Kitanovski is a Macedonian jazz guitarist.

They released their debut EP Painting Words Into Lines in March 2020. In 2022, Koyo signed a record deal with Pure Noise Records.
