Lamberto de Leon (May 28, 1947 – November 21, 2021) [2] [3] was a Filipino television director.
De Leon was known for directing some of the longest-running shows in the Philippines, Eat Bulaga! , Bubble Gang and Pepito Manaloto .
De Leon is known for directing various television series for GMA Network such as Bubble Gang , Pepito Manaloto , Eat Bulaga! , Anna Karenina , T.G.I.S. and Okay Ka, Fairy Ko! . [4] [5] He also directed shows for other networks. He directed the ABC 5; Pops! of Pops Fernandez and Look Who’s Talking. [6] De Leon also directed Iskul Bukol , TODAS , VIP with Vilma Santos, and The Sharon Cuneta Show . [4]
De Leon inherited the directorial role for Bubble Gang when his predecessor Uro dela Cruz died in February 2016. [7]
His last work would be the prequel Pepito Manaloto: Ang Unang Kuwento which was in production as of 2021. [1]
De Leon was also part of a four-member acoustic band, Area One. [6] He scouted the pop band Side A for Ivory Music. [8]
His health deteriorated in 2021; he suffered a heart attack in July which required him to undergo an angiogram and angioplasty, and contracted COVID-19 amidst a pandemic of the disease in October, which led to colleagues Michael V. and Ronnie Henares to host a fundraising for him. [9] He died at the St. Luke's Medical Center in Taguig on November 21, 2021, from COVID-19. [4] [1] [10]
De Leon had a partner, Annalyn Nakpil Jomeo, with whom he had one daughter. [9]

Dela Cruz, it was originally starred by Ogie Alcasid, Antonio Aquitania, Sunshine Cruz, Jackie de Guzman, Assunta De Rossi, Eric Fructuoso, Susan Lozada, Aiko Melendez, Wendell Ramos and Michael V. It premiered on October 20, 1995 on the network's Friday night line up replacing Vilma. Frasco Mortiz currently serves as the director, with Michael V., Paolo Contis, Chariz Solomon, Betong Sumaya, Analyn Barro, Kokoy de Santos, EA Guzman, Buboy Villar, Cheska Fausto and Matt Lozano serving as the current cast. It is the longest running comedy show in the Philippines.
EatBulaga! is a Philippine television noontime variety show broadcast by TV5 and RPTV. Originally aired on RPN from July 30, 1979 to February 17, 1989, it was replaced by Student Canteen. Eat Bulaga! later moved to ABS-CBN from February 18, 1989 to January 27, 1995, replacing Afternoon Delight, and was replaced by 'Sang Linggo nAPO Sila and GMA Network from January 28, 1995 to January 5, 2024. Eat Bulaga! then replaced SST: Salo-Salo Together and was replaced by Tahanang Pinakamasaya. It is the longest-running noontime variety program in the Philippines and ranks among television programs with the most episodes in history with over 13,500 episodes aired.

AlDub was derived from a portmanteau of the tandem's character names in Kalyeserye, namely Filipino actor Alden Richards, who portrays a fictionalized version of himself, and Yaya Dub, portrayed by Dubsmash Queen personality and socialite actress Maine Mendoza, who initially does not talk and interacts through lip-syncing.
