Tabor Academy is an independent preparatory school located in Marion, Massachusetts, United States. Tabor is known for its marine science courses. Tabor's location on Sippican Harbor, Buzzards Bay, has earned it the name of "The School by the Sea" and the school continues to operate a 115-foot sail training vessel, the SSV Tabor Boy as a hallmark program of the school. Tabor participates in the Independent School League (ISL) and is a member of the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council .

Elizabeth Rambo "Beth" Anders is a former field hockey sweeper from the United States, who was a member of the national team that won the bronze medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California. She attended Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. After the 1984 Summer Olympics she became the head coach of the USA National Women's Team. She also coached field hockey at Old Dominion University for 30 seasons, retiring in 2012. At Old Dominion she coached more games (704) and achieved more wins (561) and NCAA titles (9) than anyone in Division I history, as well as becoming the first Division I coach to reach 500 victories in field hockey.

In 2021, she became the first woman to call play-by-play for an NBA game on network TV.
Marcelien Bos-de Koning is a Dutch three-time world champion and Olympic silver medalist sports sailor. She represented her country at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Qingdao. With crew member Lobke Berkhout Bos-de Koning took the silver medal as helmsman in the Women's 470. Bos-de Koning returned as crew member to the 2012 Olympic match regatta's in Weymouth in the Elliott 6m. With helmsman Renee Groeneveld and fellow crew member Annemieke Bes Bos-de Koning took 8th place.
