Stanisława Walasiewicz, also known as Stefania Walasiewicz, and Stella Walsh, was a Polish-American track and field athlete, who became a women's Olympic champion in the 100 metres. Born in Poland and raised in the United States, she became an American citizen in 1947.
David James Wottle is an American retired middle-distance track athlete. He was the gold medalist in the 800 meter run at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich and a world record holder in the 800 meters. In 1973, Wottle also ran the 3rd fastest mile in history. He was known for wearing a golf cap while running.

Best known for winning the Olympic gold medal in 2000 with a personal best jump of 5.90 metres, he also won a bronze medal at the 2001 World Championships in Athletics. Hyson is also a respectable sprinter, having run 100 m in 10.27 s.
Jane Theresa "Jane" Sixsmith is a field hockey player, who was a member of the British squad that won the bronze medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. She retired from the international scene after scoring over hundred goals and winning 165 caps for England and 158 for Great Britain. Sixsmith was the first British female hockey player to have appeared at four Olympic Games, followed by Kate Richardson-Walsh including the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Jane continues to play National League for Sutton Coldfield Hockey Club.

Cornelius Edward "Con" Walsh was an Irish Canadian athlete who represented Canada at the 1908 Summer Olympics. He was born in Carriganimma. He won a bronze medal in the hammer throw, finishing third behind fellow Irishmen John Flanagan and Matt McGrath, both of whom represented the United States. Another Irishman, Robert Kerr also represented Canada at the same games. Walsh had earlier played Gaelic football and represented Cork.

Eloise Michelle Amberger is an Australian synchronized swimmer. Amberger made her international debut for Australia's National Junior Team in 2002 at the World Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships in Montreal, and joined Australia's National Team two years later in 2004. Amberger is a dual Olympian, having competed in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, and is a Commonwealth Games bronze medalist, having claimed third place overall in the duet event with Sarah Bombell at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.

Peter Walsh is an Australian basketball player. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1976 Summer Olympics and the 1980 Summer Olympics. He is 7'2 feet tall and has three daughters and 8 grandchildren. He is a basketball coach in the current day.
