Beyin is a village in the Jomoro district, a district in the Western Region of Ghana and also the traditional capital of the Western Nzema traditional Council . [1] Beyin contains the Fort Apollonia Castle,the Royal Palace for the Omanhene(Paramount Chief) of West Nzema Traditional Council and nice beach resorts like the Prestigious Tenack Beach Resort.Beyin is the closest town to the famous UNESCO heritage site Nzulezo. Axim is a coastal town and the capital of Nzema East Municipal district, a district in Western Region of South Ghana. Axim lies 64 kilometers west of the port city of Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region, west of Cape Three Points. Axim has a 2013 settlement population of 27,719 people.
The Western region is located in south Ghana, spreads from the Ivory Coast in the west to the Central region in the east, includes the capital and large twin city of Sekondi-Takoradi on the coast, coastal Axim, and a hilly inland area including Elubo. It includes Ghana's southernmost location, Cape Three Points, where crude oil was discovered in commercial quantities in June 2007. The region covers an area of 13,842 km2, and had a population of 2,060,585 at the 2021 Census. Nkroful is a village and the capital of the Ellembelle District in the Western Region of Ghana, located near Axim in the Nzema East Municipal. The village is the birthplace of Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's first president.
The Nzema are an ethnic group numbering about 328,700, of whom 262,000 live in southwestern Ghana and 66,700 live in the southeast of Côte d'Ivoire. In Ghana, the Nzema area is divided into three electoral districts: Nzema East Municipal, also known as Evalue Gwira; Ellembele; and Nzema West, also known as Jomoro. Their language is also known as Nzima or Appolo.
Aowin/Suaman District is a former district in Western Region, Ghana. It was originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988, which was created from the former Aowin-Amenfi District Council. However, on 28 June 2012, it was split off into two new districts: Aowin Municipal District and Suaman District. Elubo is a town in the Jomoro district, a district in the Western Region of Ghana, and is located near the border with the Ivory Coast. 2021 census indicate that, Elubo have a settlement population of 23,952 people. The current Omanhene of Elubo is Nana Kesse Panyin III. The mayor of the town, along with the district, is Hon. Louisa Iris Arde.

The district assembly is located in the southwest part of Western Region and has Nkroful as its capital town.

Half Assini, also known as Awiane, is a small town and is the capital of Jomoro Municipal District, a municipality in the Western Region of Ghana. It is the hometown of Kwame Nkrumah's father. Nkrumah, the first president of Ghana, had attended elementary school at Half Assini. The town is closer to the western border of Ghana, has white sand beaches and is known for its numerous tourist sites. One of Half Assini's chiefs, Anthony Kwaw, was best friends with Ghana's first president in school.
Fort Apollonia is a fort in Beyin, Ghana. The name Apollonia was given to the area by a Portuguese explorer who sighted the place on the Feast of Saint Apollonia, 9 February. Because of its importance during the European colonial period and its testimony to the Atlantic slave trade, Fort Apollonia was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List along with several other forts and castles in Ghana in 1979.
