Bharat Sundari was a national beauty pageant in India. The pageant's winner competed in the Miss World pageant from 1968 to 1975.[ citation needed ]
Bharat Sundari is in two categories:
There are two stages to become Bharat Sundari:
· Height 5'2" and above (5'0 for North East India) · Age 16-35 (as of 1 December 2019)
· Height 5'2" and above (5’0 for North East India) · Age 18-50 Years (age as on 31 December 2019)
The first edition of Bharat Sundari was held in 1968. Jane Coelho was crowned the first ever winner of Bharat Sundari contest and represented India at Miss World 1968 pageant.

A beauty pageant is a competition that has traditionally focused on judging and ranking the physical attributes of the contestants. Pageants have now evolved to include inner beauty, with criteria covering judging of personality, intelligence, talent, character, and charitable involvement, through private interviews with judges and answers to public on-stage questions. The term beauty pageant refers originally to the Big Four international beauty pageants.
Miss Universe is an annual international beauty pageant that is run by a United States and Thailand based Miss Universe Organization. Along with Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Earth, Miss Universe is one of the Big Four international beauty pageants.
Miss World is the oldest existing international beauty pageant. It was created in the United Kingdom by Eric Morley in 1951. Since his death in 2000, Morley's widow, Julia Morley, has co-chaired the pageant. Along with Miss Universe, Miss International, and Miss Earth, it is one of the Big Four international beauty pageants.

The Miss South Africa is a national beauty pageant in South Africa that selects South African representatives to compete in two of the Big Four international beauty pageants, Miss World and Miss Universe, and also selects another representative to participate in minor international pageant Miss Supranational. The Miss South Africa organisation resorted to a contemporary format in selecting representatives which was inaugurated in 2018. Malathi Basappa is an Indian model and beauty queen. She was crowned Bharat Sundari 1972. She represented India at Miss World 1972 and was crowned 4th Runner Up there.
Femina Miss India 2017 was the 54th edition of the Femina Miss India beauty pageant held on 25 June 2017 at Yash Raj Films, Mumbai. Priyadarshini Chatterjee of Delhi crowned Manushi Chhillar of Haryana as her successor. Sana Dua of Jammu and Kashmir was crowned 1st Runner Up and Priyanka Kumari of Bihar was crowned 2nd Runner Up.
Miss Nagaland is a state beauty pageant held annually since 1989 in the Northeastern Indian state of Nagaland. Miss Nagaland does not officially send any of its winners or previous contestants to participate in other beauty pageants. Shefali Sood crowned Aavriti Choudhary as her successor and she represented India at Miss Supranational 2021. Miss Diva 2018 Runner up Roshni Sheoran crowned Neha Jaiswal as her successor. Anntonia Porsild, Miss Supranational 2019 graced the event. This was the first edition of Miss Diva under Liva Fluid Fashion.
Suman Ratan Singh Rao is an Indian model and beauty pageant title holder who was crowned Femina Miss India 2019. She represented India at the Miss World 2019 pageant in ExCeL London in United Kingdom, and was crowned as the 2nd runner-up and as Miss World Asia.
Miss World Malaysia is a national beauty pageant and an organisation based in Malaysia. The winner will represents the country at Miss World. On occasion, when the winner does not qualify, a runner-up is sent.

Miss Diva 2021 was the 9th edition of the Miss Diva beauty pageant which was held on 30 September 2021 in Hyatt Regency Hotel, Mumbai. The 20 shortlisted contestants from all over the country competed in the pageant. Adline Castelino crowned Harnaaz Sandhu as her successor. After three months, she represented India at Miss Universe 2021 and became the 3rd Miss Universe from India to win the crown. Aavriti Choudhary crowned Ritika Khatnani as her successor. She represented India at Miss Supranational 2022 and won the title of Miss Supranational Asia 2022. Neha Jaiswal crowned Sonal Kukreja as 1st Runner-Up, whereas Kriti Sanon sashed all the remaining Runners-Up. Divita Rai was selected to represent India at Miss Universe 2022 and placed in thr top 16.
