Bharatvarsh is an Indian television historical documentary series, [1] [2] hosted by actor-director Anupam Kher on Hindi news channel ABP News. [3] It started on 20 August 2016. The show presents thoughts and ideologies of personalities in the 5000-year old history of India [4] and showcases journey from ancient India to the 19th century. [5] Season 1 finished on 23 October 2016. [6]

Reception

The show was well received. One episode of Buddha was telecasted in Delhi Public School Ghaziabad for students. [7] [8] The episode on Chanakya was screened in Little Angels Convent H S School, Kohe Fiza, Bhopal. [9] In October 2016, Juggernaut Books and ABP News announced the publication of a book based on Bharatvarsh, which will be published in the first quarter of 2017. [10] [11]

Social media

The show noticed a huge engagement on social media with the #भारतवर्ष trending on Twitter. The hash-tag was promoted heavily by ABP News through a contest on Twitter. The lucky winners of the #भारतवर्ष contest were given Karbonn K9 smartphone.

The Kapil Sharma Show, also known as TKSS, is an Indian Hindi language stand-up comedy and talk show broadcast by Sony Entertainment Television. Hosted by Kapil Sharma, the first season of the show premiered on 23 April 2016. The series revolved around Sharma and his neighbours in the Shantivan Non Co-operative Housing Society. The filming of the show took place at Film City situated in Goregaon East, Mumbai. The first season of the show was produced by Sharma's banner K9 Productions in association with Frames Productions while the second and third season were jointly produced by Salman Khan Television and Banijay Asia with K9 Productions and TEAM as the creative producers. Tyodhi is a village and gram panchayat situated in the Baghpat block of Baghpat district, Uttar Pradesh, India. It has a population of approximately 4594 people, consisting of 2473 males and 2121 females as of 2011. The village consists of 749 households, and a significant portion of its population adheres to the Hindu faith. Within the population, 699 are children, with 392 males and 307 females. The village is home to 797 individuals belonging to Scheduled Castes, including 443 males and 354 females. However, there are no Scheduled Tribes reported in the village. The literacy rate in Tyodhi stands at 62.32%, with 2,863 literate individuals—1,768 males and 1,095 females. On the other hand, 1,731 people are illiterate, including 705 males and 1,026 females. The workforce in Tyodhi comprises 1,609 individuals, with a notable gender disparity: 1,283 males and only 326 females are engaged in some form of work. Within the village, there is a notable Amrit Sarovar (pond) along with two government primary schools. The nearest school for high school and intermediate studies is Intermediate College Sarurpur Kherki in Baghpat, located approximately 2 km away. The basic healthcare services are provided by government health and wellness center situated in Tyodhi. There is a government library located within the premises of the Government Primary School.

Madhvi Madhukar Jha is a Sanskrit singer known for lending her mellifluous voice to verses of Adi Shankaracharya. Apart from Sanskrit, she also sings folk songs in different Indian languages such as Maithili and Hindi. She has a band named Madhuram Vrind. Govardhan Math Puri's Shankaracharya, Shri Nischalananda Saraswati, is her guru, from whom she has received diksha.

Viswa Brahmin Diwas is a Hindu celebration to commemorate the pride of Brahmin communities in the Hindu tradition. The translation of Viswa Brahmin Diwas is World Brahmin Day. It is celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the Indian philosopher cum diplomats Acharya Chanakya.
