Bhushan Gagrani is a 1990 batch Indian Administrative Service officer and the Municipal Commissioner of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). [1] [2] [3]
Bhushan Gagrani was born in 1966 into a Marwadi family in Kolhapur,Maharashtra. [4] [5] He grew up in a region known for its cultural heritage,which contributed to his understanding of the Marathi language and culture. [6]
Gagrani pursued his education in Kolhapur,completing his post-graduation and obtaining a Master of Commerce degree from Shivaji University. [6] He later earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from Nagpur University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. [6] [7]
In 1990,Gagrani secured the third rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. [7] He became the first IAS officer to clear the examination using Marathi as the medium of instruction for the written test. [4] [7]
Johny Joseph is an Indian Administrative Service officer of 1972 batch. He graduated from Trivandrum Engineering College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and served as commissioner of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation from 29 February 2004 to May 2007.

She was elected as Mayor without any opposition. She worked as a nurse earlier on and once again in 2020,this time to motivate other healthcare workers during COVID-19 pandemic.
Iqbal Singh Chahal is a 1989 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre. He is the former Municipal Commissioner and Administrator of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and is currently an Additional Chief Secretary in the Maharashtra Chief Minister's office. Prior to this,Chahal has served Government of Maharashtra and India in various capacities.
