Big Black Sky is the eighth and latest album by Canadian rock band Prism, released in 2008 [1] .

Composition

Despite having been semi-retired, Prism's original drummer and once principle songwriter, Jim Vallance, contributed his song Last Time to the album. Vallance first demoed Last Time in 1976 and the demo was later available on Prism's official website before Big Black Sky, but has since been taken down.

Big Black Sky is probably the closest thing to being progressive rock without being progressive but reviews were mixed. [2] The album was described as a creative milestone: “The stellar 2008 album 'Big Black Sky' put the band back on the map as a creative force.” [3]
