Season chronology |
The ninth season of Big Brother Germany began on 8 December 2008 and ended on 6 July 2009 for a total of 211 days. The 9th This season was hosted by Miriam Pielhau and Alida-Nadine Lauenstein. The theme for this season's house was Heaven and Hell. Andy, Beni, Cathy, Daniel, Geraldine, and Madeleine entered on launch night with 24 other housemates entering throughout the season.
From Day 36 (12 January 2009) onwards, the concept of this season was changed due to bad ratings. There was one main living area, "Heaven", where all housemates lived. "Hell" was only used as living area for punished or nominated housemates. Because of the structural changes of the interior, alteration that were done on Day 34 and 35 forced the housemates to live in the 2 rooms used for matches. On Day 43, 3 former housemates re-entered the house, Sascha Sirtl (season 5 winner), Andreas "Knubbel" Büttgenbach (5th place in season 7), and Marcel Schiefelbein (season 8 runner-up). They were eligible to win the 250,000 € prize.

Big Brother México is a reality television series based on the international Big Brother format produced in the Netherlands by Endemol. Big Brother México was launched by Televisa in 2002. Before its debut, the idea of being watched twenty-four hours a day by a camera was shocking to some in Mexican society. The series was successful, and it was followed by a special edition called Big Brother VIP with Mexican celebrities from show business and even politics.

In a weekly live show, hosted by Charlotte Karlinder, Miriam Pielhau and Jürgen Milski, nominations and evictions were held. Usually, the housemates nominated each other with the viewers voting for eviction of a nominee. Additionally, the 24-hour live TV channel was brought back and was again offered by Premiere for 15 € a month.

Big Brother Slovenija 2015 is the third main season of the Slovenian version of Big Brother, which is broadcast on Kanal A. This is the first civilian season of Big Brother to air in Slovenia since 2008. The show also had a celebrity season in 2010, however, it aired on another channel, POP TV. Though the season launched on March 6, 2015, three housemates entered prior to the launch. These three housemates were already living in a Secret Room, without the audience or housemates knowledge. The host of the show this season Ana Maria Mitič. Due to budget restraints this season the house is not located in Slovenia. Celebrity Big Brother 19, also known as Celebrity Big Brother: All-Stars vs. New Stars, was the nineteenth series of the British reality television series Celebrity Big Brother, hosted by Emma Willis and narrated by Marcus Bentley. The series launched on 3 January 2017 and concluded after 32 days on 3 February 2017, making it the joint longest celebrity series to date along with Celebrity Big Brother 17. The series was shown on Channel 5 in the United Kingdom and 3e in Ireland. Rylan Clark-Neal continued to present the spin-off show Celebrity Big Brother's Bit on the Side. It was the twelfth celebrity series and eighteenth series of Big Brother overall to air on Channel 5.

It was also revealed on 5 July 2020 during the live eviction show that the audition for Big Brother 6 was open and the show will be called "Big Brother: A Revolução". The show is featuring a new format and rules, housemates will have to be more interactive and competitive in the house if they want to win.

The viewers can watch for the whole season live from the house in two live pay-per-view channels, with the name Big Brother VIP 1 and Big Brother VIP 2, which are available on Albanian TV platform DigitAlb. The two opinionists in the live evictions shows, were Arbër Hajdari and Balina Bodinaku. Dojna Mema hosted the spin-off show Big Brother VIP – Fans' Club and Iva Tiço was the opinionist. One week after the final of the show, was broadcast a reunion show, with the name Post Big Brother VIP. The three episodes were broadcast on 22 February, 25 February and 1 March 2022. The show was hosted by Arbana Osmani, and the two opinionists were Arbër Hajdari and Balina Bodinaku.
Big Brother VIP 2022, also known as Big Brother VIP 2, was the second season of Big Brother VIP, hosted by Arbana Osmani. The season started airing on 24 December 2022 on Top Channel, and ended after 134 days on 6 May 2023. The whole season, live from the house, the viewers viewed in two live pay-per-view channels, with the name Big Brother VIP 1 and Big Brother VIP 2, which were available on Albanian television platform DigitAlb. Arbër Hajdari returned as opinionist in the live evictions shows and was joined by Zhaklin Lekatari, replacing Balina Bodinaku. Megi Pojani hosted the spin-off show Big Brother VIP – Fans' Club, replacing Dojna Mema. Ardit Cuni was the new opinionist for the spin-off show Fans' Club. A 60-minute radio show Big Brother Radio was introduced this season, with Elona Duro as the host. Like in the first season, one week after the final of the show, was broadcast a reunion show, with the name Post Big Brother VIP. This season the show was broadcast only for two episodes and the two episodes were broadcast on 13 May 2023 and 20 May 2023. The show was hosted by Arbana Osmani, and the two opinionists were Arbër Hajdari and Zhaklin Lekatari.
