Big Dark Love is the seventh studio album by the American indie rock band Murder by Death. [2] [3] [4] [5] The album is a follow-up to their sixth studio album Bitter Drink, Bitter Moon , released in 2012. Produced by Kevin Ratterman under the label Bloodshot Records, the album was released on 3 February 2015.

Writing for Exclaim! , Blake Morneau hailed the record as "a walloping triumph of great roots songwriting," further noting it has "big, dark secrets hidden away in its seams that call out for repeated listens until you can draw them into the light." [7] Leah Dearborn of Elmore Magazine commented that the band "has been experimenting with their established sound, implementing a range of percussion, horn and even a touch of electronica" but that fans "can look forward to the same distinctive, mournful tones that Murder By Death has cultivated over the past 15 years." Merriweather Post Pavilion is the eighth studio album by American experimental pop group Animal Collective, released in January 2009 on Domino Records. Deafheaven is an American post-metal band formed in 2010. Originally based in San Francisco, the group began as a two-piece with singer George Clarke and guitarist Kerry McCoy, who recorded and self-released a demo album together. Following its release, Deafheaven recruited three new members and began to tour. No Love Deep Web is the second studio album by American experimental hip hop group Death Grips, originally released via their website on October 1, 2012. Apex Predator – Easy Meat is the fifteenth studio album by British grindcore band Napalm Death, released on 23 January 2015 through Century Media. Since the band recorded the album in segments, recording took almost a year. The Guardian dubbed her the "best young songwriter" in the United States.
Black Dresses were a Canadian noise pop duo consisting of Ada Rook and Devi McCallion. Their debut album, Wasteisolation, was released independently in 2018. The duo released three additional albums, Thank You (2019), Love and Affection for Stupid Little Bitches (2019), and Peaceful as Hell (2020), before breaking up in 2020. Despite no longer being a band, Black Dresses have released two additional albums, Forever in Your Heart (2021) and Forget Your Own Face (2022).
