The Big Springs Conference is a high school athletic conference comprising small-size high schools located in southeast Missouri. The conference members are located in the counties of Carter, Oregon, Reynolds, Shannon, and Texas.

Members

The Big Spring Conference consists of eight high schools. [1] The conference comprises both Class 1 and Class 2 schools (in boys' basketball), the two smallest classes in Missouri. [2]

Jeff Boschee American basketball player and coach

Jeffrey Allen Boschee is an American former basketball player and current coach. He currently serves as head coach of the men's team at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. He was formerly the head coach at Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri. Boschee played guard at the University of Kansas from 1998 to 2002. He was named Mr. Basketball for North Dakota in 1998.

Big Eight Conference (IHSAA)

The Big Eight Conference was an athletic conference of IHSAA Class AAA high schools located in Southwestern Indiana. The conference members were small city-based schools located in Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Posey, and Warrick counties in Indiana and once included Wabash County in Illinois. The conference ceased operations with the 2019-20 Winter Season as the final spring season was canceled because of the 2020 Coronavirus Outbreak.

Southern Indiana Athletic Conference

The Southern Indiana Athletic Conference (SIAC) is a high school athletic conference based in Evansville, Indiana. Five of the conferences eight schools; Bosse, Central, Harrison, North, and Reitz; comprise the public Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation. Mater Dei and Memorial are private Catholic high schools ran by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Evansville, and the largest member is Castle, a public school located in neighboring Newburgh in Warrick County under the Warrick County School Corporation. The league was founded in 1936, and at one point stretched far across southern and western Indiana: from Mount Vernon in the west to New Albany in the east, and from Evansville in the south to Terre Haute in the north. Jasper and Vincennes Lincoln announced in May 2019 that they would leave the disbanding Big Eight Conference to rejoin the Southern Indiana Athletic Conference beginning with the 2020-21 season.

The War Eagle Conference is a 11-team high school athletic conference in Northwest Iowa. The schools are classified as 1A and 2A, the two smallest classes in Iowa. The conference is widely recognized as one of the best small school baseball conferences in the state, often sending multiple teams to the state tournament. The WEC has also been successful in boys basketball housing multiple state champions, the most recent being South O’Brien boys in 2015–16 as Class 1A state champions at a record of 25–3. The Grand River Conference, is a high school athletic conference comprising small-size high schools located in northwest Missouri. The conference members are located in Andrew, Buchanan, Caldwell, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Mercer, Putnam, and Worth counties.

The Gasconade Valley Conference is a high school athletic conference comprising small-size high schools located in eastern central Missouri. The conference members are located in Crawford, Iron, and Maries counties.
