William Clements is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at Nicholls State University from 1974 to 1980. [1]
Clements is an alumnus of Tulane University where he played for the Green Wave from 1957 to 1959. [2]
From 1962 to 1970, Clements was the defensive coordinator at Holy Cross High School in New Orleans. [3]
During the 1971 season, Clements was defensive coordinator for the Nicholls State University club football team while it transitioned to varsity football. [4] He continued in that role in 1972 and 1973 as part of the varsity coaching staff. [5]
From 1974 to 1980, Clements served as head football coach at Nicholls State University compiling a record of 36 wins, 39 losses and 1 tie. [6] [7] In 1975, he guided Nicholls State to both its first winning season and conference championship in team history. [1]

Robert Anthony Toledo is a former American football coach and former player. Toledo served as the head coach at University of California, Riverside (1974–1975), the University of the Pacific (1979–1982), the University of California, Los Angeles (1996–2002), and Tulane University (2007–2011). He resigned as head football coach at Tulane on October 18, 2011. On January 10, 2013, he was named offensive coordinator at San Diego State. Toledo retired from coaching after the 2014 season.
