William Ian McKenzie (born March 12, 1949) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played for the Detroit Red Wings, Kansas City Scouts, and Colorado Rockies in the National Hockey League (NHL) between 1973 and 1980. He also played in various minor leagues, primarily the American Hockey League and Central Hockey League.

Early life

McKenzie was born in St. Thomas, Ontario, but his family later moved to Riverside, Ontario. He attended Riverside Secondary School from 1964 to 1968, where he competed in football, track, and hockey.

Career

Prior to turning professional, McKenzie played for Ohio State University (1968–72), where he helped the team win the inaugural CCHA Tournament Championship in 1972. He was later inducted into the Ohio State University Sports Hall of Fame. [1] Upon retirement from professional hockey, he worked in sales, but continued his involvement with the sport as a volunteer assistant coach for the Ohio State Buckeyes men's ice hockey from 1980 through their first appearance in the NCAA Frozen Four in 1998. He then became a volunteer assistant for the Ohio State Women's hockey team from 2004 to 2010. [2]

The Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) is a college athletic conference that participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference. The current CCHA began play in the 2021–22 season; a previous incarnation, which the current CCHA recognizes as part of its history, existed from 1971 to 2013. Ryan James Kesler is an American former professional ice hockey center. Selected in the first round, 23rd overall, by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Kesler spent the first ten years of his National Hockey League (NHL) career with the Canucks. He was traded to the Anaheim Ducks on June 27, 2014, finishing his career there. He is best known for being a two-way forward, winning the Selke Trophy in 2011, as well as for his agitating style of play.

McPhee served general manager of the Washington Capitals and has also served as alternate governor, vice president and special assistant to the general manager of the New York Islanders. The Ohio State University Ice Rink is a 1,000-seat hockey rink located at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The rink was built in 1961 and houses the Ohio State Buckeyes women's ice hockey team. The men's hockey team occupied the facility from 1963 until 1998, when the Value City Arena was completed. A 1999 renovation brought the rink to full NHL dimensions and improved the facilities. The rink is located adjacent to the east side of St. John Arena on Woody Hayes Drive, just north of Ohio Stadium.

Robbie Moore Canadian ice hockey player (1954–2022)

Robert David Moore was a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who played for the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals. He played his college hockey at the University of Michigan and the University of Western Ontario. Author John U. Bacon claims that Moore was one of the first goalies in either college or professional hockey to not only come out of his net and handle the puck like a defenseman, but "actually shoot it as well as the forwards." As a minor league goaltender, Moore won the Harry "Hap" Holmes Memorial Award in 1978–79, 1979–80 and 1980–81, sharing the award with a different teammate each time.

Jeff Madill is a Canadian former professional ice hockey right winger. He was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 1987 NHL Supplemental Draft, and played 14 games for them during the 1990–91 season. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1987 to 1997, was spent in the American Hockey League and International Hockey League.

Jason Mark Muzzatti is a Canadian-Italian former professional ice hockey goaltender, and the current goaltending coach for the Carolina Hurricanes.
