Billy Decker (born November 21, 1964) [1] is an American dirt modified and late model racing driver. He has captured 18 track titles at six different tracks, and won at 35 different tracks in nine US states and two Canadian provinces. [2]

Racing career

Billy Decker began his racing career in 1981 in the Tiger class at Penn Can Speedway and notched seven victories as a rookie driver. Since progressing to the Modified division, he has competed and been victorious at the east coast race tracks from Florida to Canada, including Brewerton Speedway, Eldora Speedway, Fonda Speedway, the Land of Legends Raceway, The Dirt Track at Charlotte, Utica-Rome Speedway and Weedsport Speedway NY. Decker captured six modified pole awards and four big block victories at Super Dirt Week on the Syracuse Mile. He was the overall Super Dirt Series (Mr. Dirt) Champion in 1998, 2008, and 2014. [2] [8] Decker also has over 65 Super Late Model starts with over 25 tops tens finishes, all behind the wheel of Rocket cars fielded by Gypsum Racing. [1] [9]

Decker was inducted into the Northeast Dirt Modified Hall of Fame in 2022. [2] [10]

The 2019 Super DIRTcar Series is the 46th season of Big Block Modified racing sanctioned by DIRTcar Northeast & World Racing Group. The season will begin with the DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia Speedway Park on February 12 while the first points scoring race of the season will be the Highbank Holdup at Can-Am Speedway on April 13 The season will end with the Can-Am World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte on November 9. Matt Sheppard enters the 2019 season as the defending series champion.

Donnie Wetmore is a retired American Dirt Modified racing driver, credited with over 200 career wins. He is the all-time feature win leader at Fulton Speedway with 68.

Gary Reddick was a driver of modified stock cars. Equally adept on both dirt and asphalt surfaces, he captured 7 track titles and nearly 200 feature wins in the northeastern United States and the southeastern Canada.

Ken Brenn Jr. was an American modified racing driver who won more than 100 feature events at venues in the Mid-Atlantic states. Equally adept on both dirt and asphalt surfaces, he captured modified track titles on the dirt surface of Flemington Speedway and again after it was paved.
