Leelanau County is located in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the population was 21,708. The county seat was until recently the unincorporated community of Leland. On August 3, 2004, county voters approved a proposal to move the county seat to Suttons Bay, closer to the county's geographic center. In 2008, the county offices completed their move to a new government center built on 45 acres (180,000 m2) of county-owned land, one mile east of the unincorporated village of Lake Leelanau, where a new county law enforcement center was completed.
Grand Traverse County is located in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the population was 86,986. The county seat is Traverse City.

It was the county seat of Leelanau County from 1883 to 2008, when a new government center was completed in Suttons Bay Township, closer to the county's geographic center.
The James A. Garfield School is a former school building located at 840 Waterman Street in Detroit, Michigan. It is also known as the Frank H. Beard School. It is one of the oldest existing schools in the city of Detroit, as well as one of the least altered. The school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1984.
Mason District Number 5 Schoolhouse is a former two room rural schoolhouse in Mason Township, Cass County, Michigan built in 1874; the school could hold up to 110 students. The school operated until 1959, when the area became part of the Constantine School District. Constantine School District continued operating the schoolhouse for kindergarten through 6th grade until 1963. The building was transformed into the Mason Township Hall in 1964. In 1973 the building also became home to the Mason-Union Branch of the Cass District Library.
Cherry Hill is an unincorporated community in Canton Township in the U.S. state of Michigan. The community centers along Cherry Hill and Ridge Roads but otherwise has no legally defined boundaries or population statistics. The Cherry Hill Historic District is a primarily residential historic district encompassing the greater part of Cherry Hill. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
The Redford Township District No. 5 School is a school building located at 18499 Beech Daly Road in Redford, Michigan. After 1923, the school was known as the Redford Union District No. 1 School, and the building was also called the Beech Road School. It is now known as the John C. Raeside Administration Building. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1994 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
The Bridge School is a former school building located in rural Raisinville Township in the U.S. state of Michigan. It is recognized as the first public school in the Territory of Michigan when it was founded in 1828. The school district closed in 1946, and the building has served as Raisinville Township Hall since 1982. The Bridge School was listed as a Michigan State Historic Site on December 17, 1987.

The Eggleston School is former school and current private residential structure located at the 10539 Nolan Road in rural Nester Township in southeastern Roscommon County, Michigan. It was designated as a Michigan Historic Site on February 29, 1996 and soon after added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 4, 1996. The school is particularly notable for the finely crafted fieldstone exterior, constructed of blocks with various shapes, sizes, and hues. It is the only property in Roscommon County listed on the National Register and one of only four county properties designated as a Michigan Historic Site — along with Gerrish Township Information Site, Pioneer House, and Turney House.
The Metamora Crossroads Historic District is a historic district centered at the intersection of Oak and High Street in the small village of Metamora in Metamora Township in Lapeer County, Michigan. It was designated as a Michigan State Historic Site and also added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 19, 1984.
Perrinsville School is a historical site in Wayne County in Westland, Michigan. Perrinsville is a one-room schoolhouse that is located on Warren Road and Cowan Road. What is now the city of Westland used to be called the Village of Perrinsville in the 1830s. The main residential streets, Perrin and Liberty are still there today and Perrinsville was first settled by Thomas Dickerson in 1831. The Perrin brothers opened a sawmill in 1832 and several other business opened to help the village of Perrinsville reach peak activity in the 1850s.

The Warren Township District No. 4 School, also known as the Bunert School, is a one-room schoolhouse building located at 27900 Bunert Road in Warren, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012 and designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1989. It is the last one-room schoolhouse remaining in Warren.
The Empire School is a school building located at 10017 West Front Street in Empire, Michigan.
The William and Margaret McFarland Core Farm, now operated as the Ruby Ellen Farm, is a farmstead located at 5946 South Center Highway and 5856 South Lake Leelanau Drive in Bingham Township, Leelanau County, Michigan. The farm was operated by William Core and his descendants for nearly 150 years, from 1865 until 2011. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
The Leland Historic District, colloquially known as Fishtown, is a historic district roughly bounded by the park, Main Street, Avenue A, and the harbor, in Leland, Michigan. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1973 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
The Fife Lake–Union District No. 1 Schoolhouse, also known as the Cedar Creek School of the Union Township Hall, is a school building located at 5020 Fife Lake Road near Fife Lake, Michigan. It was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1983 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. It is unique because of the distinctive design of its Late Victorian porch and belfry.
The Horton Bay General Store is a school building located at 04991 Boyne City-Charlevoix Road in Horton Bay, Michigan. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
