The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad and commonly known as Antwerp 1920, were an international multi-sport event held in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.
Jean "Binta" Breeze MBE was a Jamaican dub poet and storyteller, acknowledged as the first woman to write and perform dub poetry. She worked also as a theatre director, choreographer, actor, and teacher. She performed her work around the world, in the Caribbean, North America, Europe, South-East Asia, and Africa, and has been called "one of the most important, influential performance poets of recent years".
The Olympisch Stadion or Kielstadion[ˈkilstaːdijɔn]) was built as the main stadium for the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp. For those games, it hosted the athletics, equestrian, field hockey, football, gymnastics, modern pentathlon, rugby union, tug of war, weightlifting and korfball (demonstration) events. Following the Olympics it was converted to a football stadium. Its current tenant is K Beerschot VA, a Belgian football club. There are no remnants of the Olympic athletics track.

The highest number of Djiboutian athletes participating in a summer Games is eight in the 1992 games in Barcelona, Spain. Only one Djiboutian athlete has ever won a medal at the Olympics, marathon runner Hussein Ahmed Salah, who won a bronze medal in the 1988 marathon.
The 1962 World Rowing Championships were the inaugural world championships in rowing. The competition was held in September 1962 on the Rotsee in Lucerne, Switzerland. Rowers from West Germany dominated the competition, winning five of the seven boat classes.
Binta Zahra Diop is a Senegalese swimmer, who specialized in butterfly events. She is also a two-time bronze medalist for the 50 m butterfly event at the All-Africa Games.
Antonella Scanavino Crespo is a Uruguayan swimmer, who specialized in butterfly and individual medley events. At age fifteen, she became one of the youngest swimmers to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics, representing her nation Uruguay. Antonella Scanavino is the daughter of the nation's former long-distance freestyle champion Carlos Scanavino, who won silver at the 1987 Pan American Games in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States, and had appeared in two editions of the Olympic Games.

Senegal competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the nation's fifteenth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics.
Ndèye Binta Diongue is a Senegalese épée fencer. She competed in the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan.
