Black Box Music is an independent music and artist development company based out of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Originally operating under Black Box Recordings, the company began exclusively as a record label in 2004. It has since expanded to include management and publishing services in recent years, prompting the brand change in 2008. The Black Box Recordings brand now exists as the record label sector of Black Box Music's full-service approach.
Established in 2004, Black Box Music is one of Canada's independent music companies with teams in Toronto, Ontario and Los Angeles, California. Black Box Music consists of a record label, artist management, and publishing branches. Black Box Music's artist roster includes SonReal, The Glorious Sons, Justin Nozuka, JUNO-winning JJ Wilde, hip-hop artist Classified, rapper and producer Rich Kidd, The OBGMs, MAGGIE ANDREW, Marina Lin, Kennen, yung sum, Northcote, Young Clancy, and Canadian rock band Glass Tiger frontman Alan Frew.[ citation needed ]
As Black Box Music's scope expanded, so did company involvement in the careers of signed artists, later leading to the launch of the company in artist management. Over time, Black Box Music's artist management and publishing initiatives have grown to include external artists of various styles and genres that are not signed to the Black Box record label.

The Juno Awards, or simply known as the Junos, are awards presented by the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences to recognize outstanding achievements in the music industry. They were originally called the Gold Leaf Awards, and the trophy resembled a metronome. Alongside the Canadian Screen Awards, they are considered one of the main annual Canadian entertainment award shows. The first Juno Awards ceremony was held on February 23, 1970 to honor the musical accomplishments of performers for the year 1969. New members of the Canadian Music Hall of Fame are also inducted as part of the awards ceremonies.
Corey Mitchell Hart is a Canadian singer, musician and songwriter known for his hit singles "Sunglasses at Night", "Never Surrender" and "It Ain't Enough". He has sold over 16 million records worldwide and recorded nine US Billboard Top 40 hits. Kira Isabella Wilkie, who is known by her stage name Kira Isabella is a Canadian country music artist. Isabella was signed to Sony Music Canada in 2009. Her first single, "Love Me Like That", was released in 2011 and charted on the Canadian Hot 100. Isabella released her second single in 2011 entitled "A Real Good Radio". Her third single, "A Little More Work", was released in 2012. Her debut studio album, Love Me Like That, was released in October 2012, and produced two further singles. Kira Isabella announced dates for a 2013 Canadian tour with Terri Clark in October 2012 and Carrie Underwood in December 2012. In 2013, Isabella signed with U.S. record label HitShop Records. The lead single from her second album, "Quarterback", was released in spring 2014.
Ritchie Acheampong, better known as Rich Kidd, is a Canadian hip hop recording artist, record producer and film/video director from Toronto, Ontario. He is a two-time nominee for the Juno Award for Rap Recording of the Year as a solo artist, garnering nominations at the Juno Awards of 2013 for The Closers and at the Juno Awards of 2014 for In My Opinion. In 2013, he formed the project Naturally Born Strangers with collaborators Tona and Adam Bomb. That group's debut release, The Legends League Presents: Naturally Born Strangers, won the Juno Award for Rap Recording of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2015.

Dylan Guthro is a Canadian singer/songwriter based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The son of musician Bruce Guthro, Dylan released his debut album, All That's True, in 2012. In 2015, Guthro teamed up with fellow Halifax singer-songwriters Carleton Stone and Breagh Mackinnon to form the band Port Cities.

The Glorious Sons are a Canadian rock band from Kingston, Ontario. Formed in 2011, the band signed with Black Box in 2013. Since then, The Glorious Sons have released one EP, Shapeless Art, and three full-length albums; The Union, which was released on September 14, 2014, and their second album Young Beauties and Fools, which was released on October 13, 2017, and finally A War On Everything released September 13, 2019. The band have eight consecutive top-10 rock radio hits in Canada including their first #1 modern rock single "Everything Is Alright".
Jillian Dowding, known professionally as JJ Wilde is a Canadian rock singer from Kitchener, Ontario. She released her debut EP, Wilde Eyes, Steady Hands, in 2019. Her debut single "The Rush" simultaneously reached #1 on Canada's modern rock, active rock and mainstream rock charts in May 2020, only one of eleven songs to accomplish the feat. She followed up with her debut album Ruthless in 2020. The album won Rock Album of the Year at the 2021 Juno Awards, making Wilde the first woman to win the award in 25 years, since Alanis Morissette won in 1996. She also released an EP Wilde in 2021.
The OBGMs (The oOohh Baby Gimme Mores) are a Canadian punk rock band from Toronto, Ontario. They are most noted for their 2020 album The Ends, which was a shortlisted finalist for the 2021 Polaris Music Prize.
