Edward Kern Demme was an American director, producer, and actor.
Mark William Lanegan was an American singer, songwriter, and poet. First becoming prominent as the lead singer for the early grunge band Screaming Trees, he was also known as a member of Queens of the Stone Age and The Gutter Twins. He released 12 solo studio albums, as well as three collaboration albums with Isobel Campbell and two with Duke Garwood. He was known for his baritone voice, which was described as being "as scratchy as a three-day beard yet as supple and pliable as moccasin leather" and has been compared to Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, and Nick Cave.
Lock 'n Load is Denis Leary's second album, co-written with Chris Philips and released in 1997. It features material by Adam Roth, Janeane Garofalo and Jeff Garlin, and music by Greg Dulli. It was also an HBO television special directed by Ted Demme. The album features clips of Leary's onstage stand-up monologues mixed with various skits and songs. It is designed to sound as though the listener is listening to the radio, with frequent cuts as though the station is being changed.
The Twilight Singers are an American indie rock band. It was formed in 1997 by Greg Dulli as a side project during a hiatus from his group The Afghan Whigs. After the Afghan Whigs disbanded, Dulli used The Twilight Singers as his own artistic vehicle and has now released five studio albums backed by worldwide tours.

Powder Burns was partly recorded with extra power generators in a deserted New Orleans studio just after the floods caused by Hurricane Katrina. The album was also recorded in Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Milan, and Catania.

Susanna Hoffs is the second solo album by Susanna Hoffs. The style of the album is more folk-oriented than her earlier work. Columbia Records disagreed with this style and dropped her from their roster, resulting in Hoffs signing to London Records. Three songs rejected by Columbia appeared on this album including "Enormous Wings", "Darling One" and "Happy Place". Another one, "Catch the Wind", appeared on the CD single release of "All I Want". "All I Want" hit #77 on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent twelve weeks on the charts.

Hard copies were then released in the UK on December 4, 2006, and in the US on January 23, 2007. A Stitch in Time features guest appearances by Mark Lanegan and Joseph Arthur. "Live with Me" is a Massive Attack cover, while "Flashback" is a Fat Freddy's Drop cover.

Debuting as a member of the rock band the Afghan Whigs in 1986, Dulli has been a member of the Twilight Singers, Gutter Twins, and in 2020 released his debut solo album, Random Desire. Dulli is known as the voice of John Lennon in the 1994 film Backbeat, and has produced music for musicians such as Afterhours, and is known as a regular collaborator of Mark Lanegan and Joseph Arthur.
Gargoyle is the tenth studio album by American singer Mark Lanegan. It was released in April 2017 on Heavenly Recordings. It was produced by Lanegan's long-time collaborator Alain Johannes. Roughly half of the music on the record was written by UK-based Rob Marshall through e-mail exchanges with Lanegan, who would write lyrics subsequently.
