Block Wars is the second soundtrack album by American rapper the Game. It was released on July 29, 2016, by Blood Money Entertainment and Entertainment One Music. [1] The album features a single guest appearance by singer Lorine Chia. Production was handled by numerous producers including frequent collaborator Bongo.
On May 24, 2016, Game took to his Instagram account to announce the release of his new mobile game with Atari titled "Block Wars". [2] A soundtrack of the same name was developed by Game himself to feature in the app as well as coincide with the app's release. However, the mobile game was never released. It was to feature themes of gang violence and drug trafficking, which is also reflected within the content of the music itself. The soundtrack sold 5,000 copies in pure album sales in its first week of sales.

Released on June 28, 2019, two days after the mobile game's release, the album features four singles by South Korean boy band BTS and instrumentals from the game. Its release was preceded by the singles "Dream Glow", "A Brand New Day" and "All Night". On June 26, the song "Heartbeat" was revealed in the game after its release. The album debuted atop the Gaon Album Chart and their first #1 in Spain. Also, it became the first K-pop soundtrack to debut on the Billboard Top Soundtracks chart.
"The Girls" is a promotional single by South Korean girl group Blackpink for the original soundtrack of the mobile game Blackpink: The Game. It was first made available in the game on August 23, 2023, before it was officially released two days later, through YG Entertainment and TakeOne Company. Written by various contributors, including the track producers Ryan Tedder and Lindgren along with group members Jennie and Rosé, it is a trap and EDM song driven by hip-hop leaning beats over Turkish flute sounds, with lyrics that discuss the importance of being independent and courageous in life. A physical version was also released on the same day, which peaked at number one on the Circle Album Chart with 160,460 sales in the first week. The song also reached the top 10 in Vietnam.
