California Republic is the thirteenth mixtape by rapper the Game hosted by DJ Skee. The mixtape was released April 5, 2012 in anticipation of Game's upcoming fifth album, [1] and follows the highly successful mixtape Purp and Patron in 2011. [2]
The mixtape features guest appearances by Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, DJ Khaled, Ace Hood, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, French Montana, Slim Thug, Fabolous, Trey Songz, Snoop Dogg, Lupe Fiasco, Pharrell, Shyne, Nipsey Hussle, Teyana Taylor, Young Chris, Ben J, Mysonne, Lyfe Jennings, Drake, Lil Wayne, Mele, Lifestyle, Nobody, Eric Bellinger, Sam Hook, Kid Red, Kobe, Cyssero and Denise Janae. [3] The mixtape contains a number of songs that were originally scheduled to appear on The R.E.D. Album . These include "Bottles and Rockin' J's", [4] "Skate On", [5] "When My Niggas Come Home" [6] and "Roll My Shit". [7]

John David Jackson, known professionally as Fabolous, is an American rapper. Raised in Brooklyn, he first gained recognition while still a senior in high school, when he performed live on American music executive DJ Clue's radio show, then on Hot 97. Jackson subsequently signed to DJ Clue's Desert Storm imprint, and later secured a distribution deal with major-label, Elektra. Jackson gained prominence with his first release, Ghetto Fabolous (2001), which spawned the hit singles "Can't Deny It" and "Young'n ". His second release was 2003's Street Dreams, which was supported by two US top 10 singles, "Can't Let You Go" and "Into You".
Lasers is the third studio album by American rapper Lupe Fiasco, released on March 7, 2011 by Atlantic Records. Production for the album took place between 2008 and 2010.
