Bloodhorse is an American heavy metal band from Boston, Massachusetts, United States, that formed late 2005. In 2007 they signed with Translation Loss Records, releasing their debut record "EP" in July of the same year.
Bloodhorse was formed in late 2005 by bassist Matt Woods, guitarist Adam Wentworth, and drummer Alex Garcia-Rivera in Boston, Massachusetts. All three members had previously played together in the hardcore punk band Bars. The three found a musical common ground of Deep Purple and The Who at their first practices. [1] The first four songs the band wrote were quickly recorded by the band in their practice space and self-released as a CD demo titled "Black Lung Rising" in April 2006. A year of playing shows throughout the Northeast lead to the band signing with Philadelphia-based label Translation Loss Records in 2007 to release an EP simply titled "EP". [2] In 2009 they released the album Horizoner, [3] while a year later Wentworth and Woods joined All Pigs Must Die. [4] Since 2014, drummer Alex Garcia-Rivera has been releasing solo music under the moniker Chrome Over Brass and also plays in the band American Nightmare. [5]
SNFU was a Canadian hardcore punk band that formed in 1981 in Edmonton, relocated to Vancouver in 1992, and became inactive in 2018. The band released eight albums, two live records, and one compilation, becoming a formative influence on the skate punk subgenre. Rankings of the best Canadian music have included their work.

Bane was an American hardcore punk band that began in 1995 as a side project between Aaron Dalbec and Damon Bellorado. Dalbec approached Matt Firestone to sing and they played under the moniker of Gateway for a few shows, before Firestone parted ways to focus on other projects. Dalbec then approached Aaron Bedard about singing for Bane. They went into the studio in December 1995 with a few friends and released a five-song demo. The next year saw the release of their first EP, and many shows throughout central Massachusetts. In early 1997, Bane released Free to Think, Free to Be EP, and in 1998 the band released the Holding This Moment 7" and CD collection, and embarked upon their first US tour. Like many other hardcore bands, Bane are known for their promotion of tolerance and unity within the scene.
Ben Koller is an American drummer who has played with Converge, Mutoid Man, Killer Be Killed and All Pigs Must Die. He started playing a full drum kit at age 14.
Shelter is a Hare Krishna hardcore punk band, formed by Youth of Today vocalist Ray Cappo in 1991. Because of the religious Hindu-oriented messages in its lyrics, Shelter's subgenre has been dubbed by some as krishnacore.
Deathwish, Inc. is an independent record label conceived by Jacob Bannon of Converge and Tre McCarthy in 2000. Their first release was Deeper the Wound, a split album between Converge and Japanese band Hellchild on April 23, 2001. Gang Green is an American punk rock band originally from Braintree, Massachusetts. Chris Doherty (guitar), Bill Manley (bass) and Mike Dean (drums) started the band in 1980 and broke up in 1983. Doherty reformed Gang Green the following year, and the band experienced numerous lineup changes until its dissolution for the second time in 1992. Doherty has been the band's only constant member and has kept Gang Green active from 2005 onwards. The band was influential in the formation of the East Coast hardcore punk scene, and went on to become one of the forerunners of crossover thrash and speed metal in the late 1980s.
This Is Boston, Not L.A. is a hardcore punk compilation released in 1982. It is considered the definitive album from the Boston hardcore scene, as several of its most prominent bands appear on the record, namely, Jerry's Kids, the Proletariat, the Groinoids, the F.U.'s, Gang Green, Decadence, and the Freeze. For them, with the exception of the later, This Is Boston, Not L.A. was also their debut release. Al Barile's band, SSD, were asked to contribute, but they refused to participate.

They released the first single, "I Hate Tourists" in 1980 and contributed eight songs, including the title track to the 1982 hardcore punk compilation This Is Boston, Not L.A.
