Blyat is the third studio album by German rapper Capital Bra, released on 29 September 2017 via Auf!Keinen!Fall!.

Contents

The album produced six singles, including "Nur noch Gucci", "Ghetto Massari", "Olé olé", "Kuku Sls", "Wer hoch fliegt fällt tief" and "Zweistellige Haftstrafen" of which five received music videos. Capital Bra promoted the album with a limited box set. Blyat debuted on number three in Germany, Austria and five in Switzerland.

Background

Capital Bra released his second studio album Makarov Complex in February 2017 to commercial success. [1] On 16 June 2017, he announced his second studio album Blyat. [2] The first single, "Nur noch Gucci", was released in July. [3] [4] [5]

Release and promotion

Blyat was released by Auf!Keinen!Fall!, Chapter One, and Universal. Internationally, the album was released on 29 September 2017 on all major streaming platforms and physically in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. [6]

To promote the album, German rappers Kollegah and Farid Bang announced a limited box set that included the CD, an EP, a DVD, a T-shirt, a poster, three stickers, and a Matryoshka doll. [7] [5]

Upon its release, the album debuted within the top five in German-speaking Europe. Four tracks of the album were released as singles, with "Roli Glitzer Glitzer" reaching No. 1 in Germany. The single "Fightclub"—a collaboration with AK Ausserkontrolle and Samra—reached No. 3 in Germany, making it Capital Bra's first single in six months to not debut atop the German single charts.

Hussein Akkouche, known professionally as Samra, is a Lebanese-German rapper based in Berlin. In November 2018, he had his first solo number-one in Germany with "Cataleya". In January 2019, Samra was named the winner of the Hiphop.de Award in the Best National Newcomer category.

The song was written by Capital Bra, Loredana and Zuna, while production was handled by Beatzarre, Djorkaeff and BuJaa.
