Bo Libergren (born April 29, 1969) is a Danishpolitician, representing the Liberal party Venstre who in November 2023 was elected as chairman of the regional council of the Region of Southern Denmark having previously been serving as acting chairman in the same capacity from March until July 2023.
He was elected to the county council of Funen County in 1994 and returned in 1998 and 2001. From 2001 to 2006 he served as chairman of the county's newly created committee of disease prevention. In the Danish municipal elections on 15 November 2005 he stood for the new regional council of the Region of Southern Denmark and was elected, more than tripling his number of votes from the election in 2001. He has been reelected in every election since then.
Between 2014 and 2017 Libergren also represented Venstre in the city council of the Municipality of Odense.
Billund Municipality is a kommune in the centre of the Jutland Peninsula in Denmark. Formerly the municipality belonged to Ribe County. The new, merged municipality covers an area of 540.18 km², and has a total population of 27,119 (2024). Its mayor is Stephanie Storbank, a member of Venstre political party. The site of its municipal council is the town of Grindsted, which is the largest town in the municipality followed by the city of Billund.

The five Regions of Denmark were created as administrative entities at a level above the municipalities and below the central government in the public sector as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, when the 13 counties (amter) were abolished. At the same time, the number of municipalities (kommuner) was cut from 270 to 98. Carl Holst is a Danish politician, representing the liberal party Venstre. He is the first Region Mayor of Region of Southern Denmark, an office he assumed on 1 January 2007. He served as County Mayor of South Jutland County from 1 July 2000, following the unexpected resignation of the former county mayor, Kresten Philipsen. Holst was re-elected in 2001, and served in this capacity until 31 December 2006, when the Danish counties were abolished.
Lars Christian Lilleholt (born 2 March 1965) is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Venstre political party. He was Minister of Energy, Utilities and Climate from 2015 to 2019. He was elected into parliament in the 2001 Danish general election.
Poul Weber is a Danish politician, representing the Liberal party Venstre. He served as the last County Mayor of Funen County. As from 1 January 2007, Funen forms part of Region Syddanmark.

Lars Løkke Rasmussen is a Danish politician who has served as Minister of Foreign Affairs since 2022. He previously served as the 25th Prime Minister of Denmark from 2009 to 2011 and again from 2015 to 2019. He was the leader of the liberal Venstre party from 2009 to 2019. Rasmussen has been a member of the Folketing since 21 September 1994. He also served as County Mayor of Frederiksborg County from 1998 to 2001. Subsequently, he was the Interior and Health Minister from 27 November 2001 to 23 November 2007 as part of Anders Fogh Rasmussen's first and second cabinets, and then Minister of Finance from 23 November 2007 to April 2009 as part of Anders Fogh Rasmussen's third cabinet. On 5 April 2009, he succeeded Anders Fogh Rasmussen as prime minister following the latter's appointment as Secretary General of NATO.In the 2011 general election, the government lost its parliamentary majority and Rasmussen tendered the government's resignation to Queen Margrethe II. He was succeeded by Helle Thorning-Schmidt of the Social Democrats on 3 October 2011. In the 2015 general election, the right-wing parties regained a majority in the Folketing. Rasmussen again became prime minister and formed his second cabinet in the same month. This cabinet was made up exclusively of Venstre members, but in November 2016 he was pressured to also include members of Liberal Alliance and Conservative People's Party, forming his third cabinet.On 6 June 2019, he resigned from his position as prime minister after a general election, in which his government was defeated. However, he continued to lead a caretaker government until a new government was formed and sworn in. This was completed on 27 June 2019 and Rasmussen was succeeded as prime minister by Mette Frederiksen. He resigned as the chairman of Venstre in August 2019, and left the party in January 2021. He subsequently formed the Moderates, which campaigned on ending bloc politics, and won 16 seats in the 2022 Danish general election.
Denmark is divided into five regions, which contain 98 municipalities. The Capital Region has 29 municipalities, Southern Denmark 22, Central Denmark 19, Zealand 17 and North Denmark 11. The government intends to merge R. Hovedstaden with R. Sjælland 1 January 2027 to form Region Østdanmark. The regional council will have 41 members, and will be elected Tuesday 18 November 2025 in the ordinary 2025 Danish local elections.

Local elections were held on 19 November 2013 in Denmark's 98 municipal councils, contesting 2,444 seats for the 2014–2017 term of office, and in five regional councils, contesting 205 seats for the 2014–2017 term. Advance voting began on 20 August 2013 in national registration offices in Denmark, hospitals, prisons, etc. Twelve women held the highest political office of mayor in the municipalities in the 2014–2017 term of office.
Local elections were held in 2021 for Denmark's 98 municipal councils and five regional councils. All 2,436 seats were contested for the 2022–2025 term of office, together with 205 seats in five regional councils. Frederiksberg Municipality had increased their number of councillors from 25 to 29.

Else Winther Andersen is a Danish Venstre politician, teacher and social worker who served as the Minister for Social Affairs under Prime Minister Poul Schlüter from 18 December 1990 until her resignation on 25 January 1993. She was also a member of the Folketing for the Aarhus County constituency between 1990 and 2005. Andersen was appointed Commander of the Order of the Dannebrog in 1991.
