Robert Prier is a Canadian ice hockey former player and head coach who is noted for his brief tenure with the men's program at Princeton.^[1]

Career

Prier began his college career in 1995 after finishing second in the CJHL in scoring the year before.^[2] Prier continued his scoring at the college level, leading St. Lawrence in goals his junior season. In his senior season he led the team in goals and points while the Saints made their first NCAA appearance in seven years.^[3] After graduating with a degree in economics Prier had a 3-game career as a professional with the Pee Dee Pride before retiring as a player.^[4]

The same year Prier was hired by his former junior team as an assistant coach but quickly jumped back to the college ranks the following year. He spent one year at both Denver and Princeton before signing on with his alma mater in 2002. Prier spent two years as an assistant and another seven as associate head coach before he was offered the top position with Princeton in 2011. Prier's first two seasons with the Tigers ended with poor but respectable records but his third saw the tigers finish last in the ECAC. Prier resigned after the season and it was reported that he had done so under pressure from outgoing athletic director Gary Walters.^[1]

The rest of his career, which lasted from 1964 to 1976, was spent in various minor leagues.

Greg Cronin is an American professional ice hockey coach and current head coach of the Colorado Eagles of the AHL. Prior to joining the Eagles in 2018, Cronin held coaching positions with the New York Islanders and Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL, and Colorado College, the University of Maine, and Northeastern University of the NCAA.

Dave Burkholder is a Canadian college ice hockey coach and former college player. He coached the Niagara University program from 2001 to 2017, taking over from Blaise MacDonald, a former teammate of his with the RIT Tigers. Burkholder also previously served as the assistant general manager and assistant coach of the Niagara Falls Thunder of the Ontario Hockey League.

Jeffrey Sauer was an American ice hockey player and coach. Sauer was the head coach at the University of Wisconsin from 1982 to 2002 and Colorado College from 1971 to 1982. While at Wisconsin, he led the Badgers to two NCAA men's ice hockey championships. He was the special assistant to the commissioner of the WCHA prior to his death.

The Princeton Tigers men's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college ice hockey program that represents Princeton University. The Tigers are a member of ECAC Hockey. They play at the Hobey Baker Memorial Rink in Princeton, New Jersey. In 1999, future NHL player Jeff Halpern scored 22 goals to tie for the most goals in the ECAC and was co-winner of Princeton's Roper Trophy for athletic and academic achievement. In 2010–11, Andrew Calof was ECAC Rookie of the Year.

Bob Daniels is an American ice hockey coach, currently in charge at Ferris State, a position he has held since 1992.

Greg Walters is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who currently serves as the head coach for the Owen Sound Attack of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He was drafted into the National Hockey League in 1990, but spent his career playing in the minor leagues. During 12 seasons, he played 248 games in the American Hockey League, and 241 games in the International Hockey League. He later turned to coaching, and has won two Ontario Junior Hockey League Coach of the Year awards, and one Canadian Junior Hockey League Coach of the Year award.

Don 'Toot' Cahoon is a retired American ice hockey coach. He was the head coach of the Princeton Tigers when they won their first conference tournament championship in 1998.
