KDU-ČSL,often shortened to lidovci,is a Christian-democratic political party in the Czech Republic. The party has taken part in almost every Czech government since 1990. In the June 2006 legislative election,the party won 7.2% of the vote and 13 out of 200 seats;but in the 2010 election,its vote share dropped to 4.4% and they lost all of its seats. The party regained its parliamentary standing in the 2013 legislative election,winning 14 seats in the new parliament,thereby becoming the first party ever to return to the Chamber of Deputies after previously dropping out.
TOP 09 is a liberal-conservative political party in the Czech Republic,led by Markéta PekarováAdamová. 14 of its members sit in the Chamber of Deputies,and three of them are MEPs.
The Czech Pirate Party often known simply as the Pirates is a liberal progressive political party in the Czech Republic,founded in 2009. The party was founded as a student-driven grassroots movement campaigning for political transparency,civil rights and direct democracy.

The party has been labelled as centrist on the political spectrum by some sources,while others state that it is a centre-right party. At the European level ANO is a member of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe Party and the Renew Europe group in the European Parliament. The party is led by entrepreneur Andrej Babiš,who served as Prime Minister in 2017–2021.
Petr Pavel is a Czech politician and retired army general,currently serving as the president of the Czech Republic since March 2023. Prior to this,he held the position of Chairman of the NATO Military Committee from 2015 to 2018,and served as the Chief of the General Staff of the Czech Armed Forces between 2012 and 2015.
Marian Jurečka is a Czech politician,who has served as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs since 17 December 2021 and Minister of the Environment from November 2022 to March 2023,both in Petr Fiala's Cabinet. He was previously the Minister of Agriculture in Bohuslav Sobotka's Cabinet from 2014 to 2017.
Parliamentary elections were held in the Czech Republic on 8 and 9 October 2021. All 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies were elected,with the leader of the resulting government to become the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic. Following the 2017 parliamentary elections,the country had been ruled by a minority government consisting of ANO 2011 (ANO),led by prime minister Andrej Babiš,and the Czech Social Democratic Party (ČSSD),led by interior minister Jan Hamáček,with confidence and supply support from the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM) until April 2021. The largest opposition party was the Civic Democratic Party (ODS),followed by the Czech Pirate Party. Other parties in the Chamber of Deputies included SPD,TOP 09,STAN,and KDU-ČSL.
The 2010 Prague municipal election was held as part of 2010 Czech municipal elections. It was held on 15 and 16 October 2010. Prague was divided into 7 electoral districts with 9 mandates allocated for each district. It created a "natural threshold."
Martin Baxa is a Czech politician who has served as the Czech Minister of Culture in Petr Fiala's Cabinet since December 2021. He has been a member of the Chamber of Deputies (MP) for the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) since October 2017. He previously served as Mayor of Plzeňfrom 2010 to 2014,and again from 2018 to 2022.
Martin Kupka is a Czech politician who has been a member of the Chamber of Deputies (MP) since 2017. He currently serves as Minister of Transport in the Cabinet of Petr Fiala and previously served as mayor of Líbeznice.
The 2018 Prague municipal elections were held in Prague in on 5 and 6 October 2018 as part of nationwide municipal elections. All 65 seats of the Prague Assembly were up to elect. Full results were presented a day later,on 7 October 2018.
Presidential elections were held in the Czech Republic in January 2023,resulting in the election of Petr Pavel. Incumbent president MilošZeman was not eligible to run due to the two-term limit.
The next Czech parliamentary election will be held in or before October 2025. All 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic will be elected and the leader of the resultant government will become the Prime Minister.
Spolu is a Czech centre-right political alliance formed for the 2021 legislative election,composed of the Civic Democratic Party,KDU-ČSL,and TOP 09. As of the 2021 Czech election it governs the Czech Republic in a coalition with the Pirates and Mayors alliance.
Election of the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic was held on 10 November 2021.
Senate elections were held in the Czech Republic on 23 and 24 September 2022 alongside municipal elections. The election were won by the Spolu alliance consisting of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS),KDU-ČSL and TOP 09 which won 20 seats. The ODS was the most successful party,winning eight seats.
The 2022 Prague municipal election was held in September 2022 as part of the nationwide municipal elections to elect members of the Prague City Assembly. It was a victory for Spolu which received the highest number of votes and seats ahead of ANO 2011 in second place. The Czech Pirate Party led by incumbent Mayor Zdeněk Hřib finished third. New coalition was formed 5 months after election and it consists of Spolu,Pirates and STAN. Bohuslav Svoboda became the new mayor.
