Karlsruhe is divided into 27 districts. [1]

System

The city districts are further subdivided into city neighbourhoods (previously sometimes also referred to as city districts).

According to § 15 and 16 of the main statute of the city of Karlsruhe a local council was set up in each of the districts Durlach (with Aue) and Stupferich, Hohenwettersbach, Wolfartsweier, Grötzingen, Neureut and Wettersbach (Grünwettersbach and Palmbach).

Karlsruhe is a Landkreis (district) in the northwest of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe, formerly known as BW-Bank Meeting and officially known as the Init Indoor Meeting Karlsruhe, is an annual indoor track and field competition which takes place in January or February in Karlsruhe, Germany. The meeting was first held at the Europahalle in 1985 and is currently a World Athletics Indoor Tour Gold-level event, the highest level of one-day indoor meeting in the World Athletics calendar. The athletics meeting is known for having strong fields in the short sprint events. The 2016 edition was part of the inaugural IAAF World Indoor Tour.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Karlsruhe–Basel high-speed railway</span> German high-speed railway

The Karlsruhe–Basel high-speed railway is a new line being built on the route of the Mannheim–Karlsruhe–Basel railway. As a result of the project, the railway through the Rhine Valley is being upgraded to four continuous tracks and its operational efficiency will be increased as a result of the segregation of the various transport flows. The travel time for passenger services between Karlsruhe and Basel is to be shortened by 31 minutes. The project forms part of the Rotterdam–Genoa corridor and part of it is also part of the Main line for Europe. In September 2010, it was forecast to be completed in 2020.

The Heilbronn Stadtbahn is a three line tram-train system in city of Heilbronn in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is based on the Karlsruhe model and operated jointly by the Albtal-Verkehrs-Gesellschaft (AVG), the Stadtwerke Heilbronn (SWH) and Deutsche Bahn (DB). It operates on normal railways under the Eisenbahn-Bau- und Betriebsordnung and within Heilbronn under the Verordnung über den Bau und Betrieb der Straßenbahnen.

Rüppurr is a district in the south of Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, with around 11,000 inhabitants. The district borders on the neighboring town of Ettlingen and is considered to be one of the more affluent residential areas in Karlsruhe.
