Borris-in-Ossory GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in the village of Borris-in-Ossory, County Laois, Ireland. [1]

The club colours are red and white and the club grounds are called O'Keefe Park. [2]

Formerly, primarily a hurling club, Borris-in-Ossory now operates solely as a gaelic football club.

It amalgamates at all age levels with its neighbouring club, Kilcotton GAA, with which it competes in hurling as Borris-in-Ossory–Kilcotton GAA.[ citation needed ]

The clubs however field separate Gaelic football teams, and compete as separate clubs in the Laois Junior C Football Championship. [3]

The club won five Laois Senior Hurling Championships, the last of which came in 1972. The Laois and Leinster hurler Christy O'Brien played in all five wins and was captain for the first four wins between 1956 and 1961. [4]

The 2020 Laois Senior Hurling Championship was the 127th of the Laois Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Laois County Board in 1888. The championship was scheduled to begin in April 2020, however, it was postponed indefinitely due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games. The championship eventually began on 31 July 2020 and, after being suspended once again on 5 October 2020, eventually ended on 14 August 2021.

The 2023 Laois Senior Hurling Championship was the 130th staging of the Laois Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Laois County Board in 1888. The draw for the group stage placings took place in March 2023. The championship ran from 19 July to 8 October 2023.

The 2022 Laois Senior Hurling Championship was the 129th staging of the Laois Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Laois County Board in 1888. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 24 February 2022. The championship ran from 14 July to 2 October 2022.

The 2021 Laois Senior Hurling Championship was the 128th staging of the Laois Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Laois County Board in 1888. The draw for the group stage placings took place on 8 July 2021. The championship ran from 28 August to 7 November 2021.
