The women's masters competition at the 2018 Asian Games in Palembang was held on 26 and 27 August 2018 at Jakabaring Bowling Center. [1]

Contents

The Masters event comprises the top 16 bowlers (maximum two per country) from the all-events [2] category. Block 1 were played on long oil pattern lane, while Block 2 were played on medium oil pattern lane. [3]

Tommy Jones is an American professional bowler currently competing on the PBA Tour, and is a member of the PBA Hall of Fame. He is also an 11-time member of Team USA.

The World Tenpin Bowling Championships is a global event that invites all countries that are members of International Bowling Federation to participate.

The 2018 Asian Games, officially known as the 18th Asian Games and also known as Jakarta-Palembang 2018 or Indonesia 2018, was a continental multi-sport event that was held from 18 August to 2 September 2018 in Jakarta and Palembang.

The World Bowling Singles Championships is a Ten-pin bowling event open to members of World Bowling. This gives World Bowling a World Championship event every year, filling a void left from previous years. Each member federation can send up to two men and two women to compete. The event is split up into two separate tournaments, one for men and one for women.

Iran competed in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia from 18 August to 2 September 2018. Iran has competed at the Asian Games since the first event in 1951 Delhi, and the best achievement was in 1974, when the country hosted the event in Tehran, by ranked second with the acquisition of 36 gold, 28 silver and 17 bronze medals. Esther Cheah Mei Lan is a Malaysian female medal winning tenpin bowler who has represented Malaysia in several international competitive events including Asian Games, Southeast Asian Games. She is currently considered one of the most experienced and finest female bowlers to have represented Malaysia internationally.
