Finger Eleven is a Canadian rock band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 1990. They have released seven studio albums, with their album The Greyest of Blue Skies bringing them into the mainstream. Their 2003 self-titled album achieved Gold status in the United States and Platinum in Canada, largely from the success of the single "One Thing", which marked the band's first placing on the US Hot 100 Chart at number 16. Their 2007 album, Them vs. You vs. Me launched the single "Paralyzer", which went on to top the Canadian Hot 100 and both US rock charts, as well as reaching No. 6 on the US Hot 100 and No. 12 on the Australian Singles Chart. They won the Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year in 2008. The same album was later certified gold in the US and multi-platinum in Canada. They released their sixth studio album, Life Turns Electric, on October 5, 2010; it was nominated as Best Rock Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2011. Five Crooked Lines, their 7th studio album, was released in 2015. Between 1995 and 2016, Finger Eleven was among the top 75 best-selling Canadian artists in Canada and among the top 25 best-selling Canadian bands in Canada.
The Box is a new wave group from Montreal, Quebec. Founded in 1981, they achieved commercial success in Canada, recording four charting albums and 10 charting singles between 1984 and 1990. The group broke up in 1992, but a new line-up was founded in 2005. This iteration of the group has released two further albums.

"Bad Day" is a pop song by Canadian singer-songwriter Daniel Powter for his self-titled second studio album (2005). It was written by Powter and produced by Jeff Dawson and Mitchell Froom. Powter and Dawson recorded the song in 2002, but were initially unable to find a record label to release it. The song was first used in a French Coca-Cola television advertisement in Christmas 2004 before its official release. Tom Whalley, Warner Bros. Records' chairman and CEO, offered Powter a contract after hearing a demo tape of it. This track ended up being released as the aforementioned album's lead single in Europe in early 2005.

Addison Road was a Christian alternative pop/rock band from Dallas, Texas. The band was signed to INO Records in 2007 and released its self-titled debut album, Addison Road, on March 18, 2008. Its songs "All That Matters" and "Sticking With You" were the ninth and fifteenth most-played songs on R&R magazine's Christian CHR chart for 2008. On August 1, 2012, the band announced that after 10 years it would complete its time as a band. Lead singer Jenny Simmons is pursuing a solo career.

On My Own is Brandon Paris Band's first studio album. It includes the hit single, "Rewind and Start Again". Their debut album's first single, "Rewind and Start Again", was a huge success on commercial radio after being released on March 13, 2006. The song climbed up to top 20 on the Canadian CHR charts. The second single, "Somebody to Hold" was also well received in many cities. It peaked at #53. Koch Entertainment, Brandon Paris Band's record label, decided to release "Give Me a Reason" only a month after the release of 'Somebody to Hold', in hopes of getting better results, but to their dismay it was not enough to reach top 40 status. "Give Me a Reason" peaked at #77 CHR. Brandon Paris Band was nominated for Best New Group or Solo Artist (CHR) by the Canadian Radio Music Awards in spring of 2007.
