John Keith Wozniak is an American musician best known as the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of the band Marcy Playground.
Everclear is an American rock band formed in Portland, Oregon, in 1991. The band was formed by Art Alexakis, the band's lead songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist, and for most of the band's height of popularity, consisted of Craig Montoya on bass guitar and Greg Eklund on drums. After the limited release of their independently released debut album, World of Noise, the band found success with their first three albums on Capitol Records: Sparkle and Fade, So Much for the Afterglow, and Songs from an American Movie Vol. One: Learning How to Smile, which were all certified platinum in sales. However, the following two albums Songs from an American Movie Vol. Two: Good Time for a Bad Attitude and Slow Motion Daydream, were not as well received, and as sales suffered, Montoya and Eklund left the band shortly after in 2003.
Sponge is an American rock band formed in Detroit, Michigan, in 1992 by vocalist Vinnie Dombroski, guitarist Mike Cross, bassist Tim Cross, drummer Jimmy Paluzzi, and guitarist Joey Mazzola. Dombroski and the Cross brothers were previously in the hard rock band Loudhouse, with Mazzola joining later before the end of the band's tenure. Sponge's discography includes ten studio albums, four live albums, and several charting singles. They are best known for their 1994 hit "Plowed", their 1995 hit "Molly ", and their 1996 hit "Wax Ecstatic ".
Dishwalla is an American alternative rock band from Santa Barbara, California. The band's name comes from a Hindi term for a person providing satellite TV to a neighborhood. In a Vox interview, lead guitarist Rodney Browning Cravens claimed the band took the name from a Wired magazine article. The band is best known for its 1996 hit song "Counting Blue Cars".
Pinmonkey was an American country music band from Nashville, Tennessee. The band was formed in 2002 by Michael Reynolds, brothers Michael Jeffers and Chad Jeffers, and Rick Schell. The band released two albums in 2002: Speak No Evil independently, and Pinmonkey via BNA Records. The latter produced two singles in "Barbed Wire and Roses" and a cover of Cyndi Lauper's "I Drove All Night", both of which charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Schell and Chad Jeffers both left in 2005, with Mike Crouch briefly replacing the former. After these membership changes, Pinmonkey released their third album Big Shiny Cars on Back Porch Records in 2006 before disbanding. Afterward, the Jeffers brothers became backing musicians for other artists, Schell joined Pure Prairie League, and Reynolds released a solo album. Pinmonkey received general critical favor for Reynolds's singing voice, bluegrass and country rock influences, and the breadth of their cover song choices.
Songs from an American Movie Vol. One: Learning How to Smile is the fourth studio album by American alternative rock band Everclear, released on July 11, 2000. The album is a loose concept album inspired by lead singer Art Alexakis's second divorce. The first album is much more influenced by American pop music, especially from the 1970s, as well as being more "loving" in tone than the hard rock Good Time for a Bad Attitude. The album is dedicated to David Ridderhof and Louis Montoya.

"Sex and Candy" is a song by American alternative rock group Marcy Playground, a single from their 1997 self-titled debut album. It is a post-grunge song with psychedelic elements. Lead singer John Wozniak was inspired to write the song after a woman told him that a room smelled like "sex and candy." The song's abstract lyrics refer to the disco era and include hippie lingo. In 1997, Wozniak said that "Sex and Candy" is an unorthodox love song; later, he said he does not know what the song means. It was released to radio on the week of September 15, 1997.
"Saint Joe on the School Bus" is a song by American rock band Marcy Playground. It was released as the second single from their self-titled 1997 debut album. Although far from being as successful as the band's later smash hit "Sex and Candy," "Saint Joe on the School Bus" managed to reach number 8 on the US Modern Rock Tracks and number 30 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks. In the album liner notes Wozniak, the band's front man states "this song is about being picked on." A video was made for the song in which a schoolyard bully "cries wolf" and is eventually devoured by one.
Leaving Wonderland... in a Fit of Rage is the fourth studio album by American alternative rock band Marcy Playground, released on July 7, 2009 by WOZ Records. It was begun as a John Wozniak solo album. The album's first single was "Blackbird".

He has also played with various other bands, including Nanuchka and Electro Morocco in New York City, and formerly with The Magical Mystery Tour, a Beatles tribute group, and Habiluim in Tel Aviv.

Zog BogBean – From the Marcy Playground is an album, self-produced and recorded by John Wozniak in his bedroom studio with some help from his then-girlfriend Sherry Fraser and her brother, Scott. A small run of CDs were self-released by Wozniak, and they remain extremely difficult to find to this day. "Our Generation" and "Dog And His Master" would appear on later Marcy Playground albums.

Fans and musicians from all around the world had submitted some 337 individual remixes to Indaba Music in support of the album. "Marcy Playground" were extremely impressed by the various musical directions and vast musical genres fans and fellow musicians went with the music.
"Tonight" is a song by South African rock band Seether. It was released on 7 June 2011 as the second single from their fifth studio album Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray. This is also one of the last songs the band recorded with lead guitarist Troy McLawhorn who left the band prior to the album's release. Two remixes of this song appeared on the band's Remix EP.

The album is the band's first album of original material in six years since 2008's Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings and is their first release on Capitol. The release has received positive reviews from critics.
