Brayden Kerry Taylor (born May 22,2002) is an American professional baseball shortstop in the Tampa Bay Rays organization.
Taylor went to Copper Hills High School located in West Jordan,Utah,where he played on their baseball team. [1] He achieved all-state honors as a junior in 2019 after he batted .443 with ten stolen bases. [2] He was ranked No. 188 in the nation by Perfect Game heading into his senior season. [3] He only played in three games during his senior season in 2020 due to it being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [4]
He went unselected in the 2020 Major League Baseball draft,and enrolled at Texas Christian University (TCU) to play college baseball. Taylor was named TCU's starting third baseman as a freshman in 2021. [5] [6] Over 58 starts,he batted .324 with a team-high 12 home runs,53 RBIs,49 walks and 15 stolen bases alongside a .924 fielding percentage. [7] [8] He was named the Big 12 Conference Freshman of the Year. [9] In the summer he played for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod League. [10] He batted .269/.361/.385,and on defense split his time between second base and third base. [10]
As a sophomore in 2022,Taylor played in 59 games (58 starts) and hit .314 with 13 home runs,fifty RBIs,and 55 walks compared to forty strikeouts. [11] After the season,he briefly played in the Cape Cod Baseball League with the Falmouth Commodores,batting .242. [12] He was also named to and played with the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. Taylor was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the first round,with the 19th overall selection,of 2023 Major League Baseball draft. On July 21,2023,Taylor signed with the Rays on for the full-slot value of $3,880,100. [14]
Ed &Rae Schollmaier Arena,formerly known as Daniel–Meyer Coliseum,is a basketball arena located on the campus of Texas Christian University (TCU) in Fort Worth,Texas,United States. The arena is part of the Daniel-Meyer Athletics Complex and sits between Amon G. Carter Stadium and Sam Baugh Indoor Practice Facility. The arena is home to the TCU Horned Frogs Men's and Women's basketball teams. It was built in 1961 and originally named after former TCU football and basketball coach Dutch Meyer and former TCU board member Milton Daniel. As part of the 2015 renovation,the facility was renamed for lead donors Ed &Rae Schollmaier. The facility currently seats 8,500 people.
Kirk Craig Saarloos is an American baseball coach and former pitcher,who is the current head baseball coach of the TCU Horned Frogs. He played college baseball at Cal State Fullerton for coach George Horton from 1999 to 2001 and played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for seven seasons from 2002 to 2008.
Jim Schlossnagle is an American baseball coach and former pitcher,who is the current head baseball coach of the Texas Longhorns. He played college baseball at Elon from 1986 to 1989 for head coach Rick Jones. He then served as the head coach of the UNLV Rebels (2002–2003),the TCU Horned Frogs (2004–2021),and the Texas A&M Aggies (2022–2024).
The TCU Horned Frogs baseball team represents Texas Christian University in NCAA Division I baseball. The Frogs have competed in the Big 12 Conference since 2013 and previously competed in the Mountain West,Conference USA,Western Athletic Conference and Southwest Conference. Since February 2003,the Horned Frogs have played their home games at Lupton Stadium,located on the TCU campus in Fort Worth,Texas. The Frogs are led by head coach Kirk Saarloos.

The 121st TCU football team played as a member of the Big 12 Conference and played their home games at Amon G. Carter Stadium,on the TCU campus in Fort Worth,Texas. The Horned Frogs were led by 16th-year head coach Gary Patterson,the winningest coach in TCU football history. They finished the season 6–7,4–5 in Big 12 play to finish in fifth place. They were invited to the Liberty Bowl where they lost to Georgia.
