Breakfast at Fatboys is the debut album by Australian rap rock group Butterfingers, released on 3 May 2004 on the group's own Valley Trash label and distributed by MGM. [1]

Contents

The album reached #61 on the ARIA album charts, [2] #15 on the ARIA Australian Release charts [3] and #2 on the AIR (Australian Independent Record Labels Association) Charts [3] where it remained in the top twenty of the AIR charts for over a year following its release. [4] Triple J named it 'Album of the Week' upon its release and added the new single, "Yo Mama" to high rotation at the station. [5] The album was also nominated for the Best Independent Release ARIA Award. [6]

Australian Idol was a televised talent contest, screened on Channel Ten for seven seasons between 2003 and 2009. Several contestants were signed to record labels, while others released their music independently. Since 2003 Australian Idol acts have placed well on the Australian music charts, with 35 number ones and 158 platinum and 41 gold certifications. Eight Idol releases appeared in the 2000 – 2009 ARIA End of Decade Charts, and 24 releases have been nominated for Highest Selling ARIA Music Awards. Idol contestants have also been nominated for 33 ARIA Awards in public vote categories, where the nominees are most commonly selected from the highest selling acts of the year. There have also been 48 industry judged ARIA Award nominations. Rockmelons, often referred to as the Rockies, were an Australian pop/dance/R&B group formed in 1983 in Sydney. Primary members are Bryon Jones, his brother Jonathon Jones and Raymond Medhurst. They had two Australian top five hit singles in the early 1990s with "Ain't No Sunshine" and "That Word (L.O.V.E.)", both sung by Deni Hines. The associated album, Form 1 Planet, peaked at number 3 on the ARIA albums chart in 1992, and was certified platinum in Australia.

Where We Land is the first studio album by Australian Idol 2006 winner Damien Leith. It was released by Sony BMG in Australia on 18 August 2007, and in Ireland on 28 September 2007. Leith produced the album for seven months and created the album entirely with acoustic songs. He wrote or co-wrote nine of the twelve songs, collaborating with Alex Lloyd and his music director Paul Gray in a few songs. All of his original songs were inspired by his friends and family. Leith included two cover songs in the album, Fleetwood Mac's "Songbird" from the album Rumours and the traditional Irish song "Danny Boy". Where We Land received mostly average reviews from critics. It debuted in the Australian Albums Chart at number-one and was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association. The album spawned the singles "22 Steps", "All I Want Is You" and "Not Just for the Weekend". Leith embarked on a national tour across Australia to promote the album in November 2007.

It debuted on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart at number two and has since been certified double platinum. For the album, the Veronicas were nominated for three awards at ARIA Music Awards of 2008: "Highest Selling Album", "Highest Selling Single", and "Best Pop Release".

"Take Me on the Floor" is a song by the Veronicas from their second album, Hook Me Up. It was released as the fourth single from the album in Australia as a digital download on 13 October 2008. In the US Warner Bros. hosted a poll for fans to vote through texting to decide which should be the second single in the US; "Take Me on the Floor" was then announced as the next single on their YouTube page and was released on 24 March 2009 to radio. The song was used in promotional ads for the 2008 season of Australia's Dancing with the Stars. A remix of "Take Me on the Floor" was later made featuring Pitbull.

Ministry of Sound Sessions Five is an electro house, dance music compilation album. It is the fifth installment of the Ministry of Sound Australia "sessions" series which started in 2004. There are 42 tracks across the two discs mixed by The Potbelleez and Goodwill. The album is the first appearance for The Potbelleez in the Sessions series and the second for Goodwill.
