Bredsten is a village in Vejle Municipality, Denmark. Bredsten is situated 11 kilometres west of Vejle, and it has a population of 1,898 (1 January 2024). [1] The village is quite old, indicated by the church which dates back to the Middle Ages though modified by the local entrepreneur de Lichtenberg in the 1740s.
Bredsten is known for a few famous persons, among them businessman Harry Motor, the former editor of BT, Arne Ullum, the Grand Champion of the quiz show Jeopardy, Jens Madsen, Lars Døhr, former soccer player in Vejle Boldklub and the former soccer legend John Sivebæk.
Vejle is a city in Denmark, in the southeast of the Jutland Peninsula at the head of Vejle Fjord, where the Vejle River and Grejs River and their valleys converge. It is the site of the councils of Vejle Municipality (kommune) and the Region of Southern Denmark. The city has a population of 61,706 making it the ninth largest city in Denmark. Vejle Municipality has a population of 121,599 making it the fifth largest municipality in Denmark. The city is part of the Triangle Region, which includes the neighbouring cities of Kolding and Fredericia and it is located 110 kilometres north of Germany.
Kolding is a Danish seaport located at the head of Kolding Fjord in the Region of Southern Denmark. It is the seat of Kolding Municipality. The Region of Southern Denmark is an administrative region of Denmark established on Monday 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, which abolished the traditional counties ("amter") and set up five larger regions. At the same time, smaller municipalities were merged into larger units, cutting the number of municipalities from 271 before 1 January 2007 to 98. The reform diminished the power of the regional level dramatically in favor of the local level and the central government in Copenhagen. The Region of Southern Denmark has 22 municipalities. The reform was implemented in Denmark on 1 January 2007, although the merger of the Funish municipalities of Ærøskøbing and Marstal, being a part of the reform, was given the go-ahead to be implemented on Sunday 1 January 2006, one year before the main reform. It borders Schleswig-Holstein (Germany) to the south and Central Denmark Region to the north and is connected to Region Zealand via the Great Belt Fixed Link.

Vejle Municipality's offices are located in its largest population center, the city of Vejle.

The site of its municipal council was the town of Uldum. The largest town in the municipality was Tørring.
Give is a small railway town, with a population of 4,682, in Denmark 30 km northwest of Vejle. As a result of "The Municipal Reform" of 2007 Give Municipality was forced to join Vejle Municipality by the Løkke government.
