The Bremen Football Association (German : Bremer Fussball-Verband), the BFV, is one of 21 state organisations of the German Football Association, the DFB, and covers the state of Bremen. [1]

The BFV is also part of the Northern German Football Association, one of five regional federations in Germany. The other members of the regional association are the Hamburg Football Association, the Lower Saxony Football Association and the Schleswig-Holstein Football Association. [1]

In 2017, the BFV had 44,066 members, 85 member clubs and 1,294 teams playing in its league system. It is the smallest of the 21 state associations in Germany. [2]

Baden Cup

The North Baden Cup is one of the 21 regional cup competitions of German football. The winner of the competition gains entry to the first round of the German Cup.

The Bremer Pokal is an annual football cup competition, held by the Bremer Fußball-Verband. It is one of the 21 regional cup competitions in Germany and a qualifying competition for the German Cup, with the winner of the competition being automatically qualified for the first round of the German Cup in the following season. For sponsorship reasons, the competition is known as the Lotto-Pokal.

Bavarian Football Association

The Bavarian Football Association, the BFV, is one of 21 regional organisations of the German Football Association, the DFB, and covers the state of Bavaria. It was formed as an independent association on 4 February 1949 but its origins date back to 1945.

The Baden Football Association, the BFV, is one of 21 state organisations of the German Football Association, the DFB, and covers the north of Baden, the north-western part of the state of Baden-Württemberg.

Northern German Football Association

The Northern German Football Association is one of the five regional associations of the German Football Association and covers the four German states of Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein.

The Verbandspokal is a regional men's association football competition in Germany. There are 21 Verbandspokal competitions which function as qualifying tournaments for the following season's DFB-Pokal, the premier German Cup competition. Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga clubs are not permitted to enter as they are already directly qualified for the first round of the DFB-Pokal. While no Verbandspokal winner has ever gone on to win the German Cup, two have reached the final. Hertha BSC Amateure won the Berlin Cup in 1992 and went on to lose the 1992–93 DFB-Pokal final against Bayer 04 Leverkusen and FC Energie Cottbus won the 1996 Brandenburg Cup and went on to lose the 1996–97 DFB-Pokal final against VfB Stuttgart.

The Southern German Football Association, the SFV, is one of five regional organisations of the German Football Association, the DFB, and covers the states of Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria and Hesse.

The Hamburg Football Association, the HFV, is one of 21 state organisations of the German Football Association, the DFB, and covers the state of Hamburg and some parts of southern Schleswig-Holstein.

The Lower Saxony Football Association, the NFV, is one of 21 state organisations of the German Football Association, the DFB, and covers the state of Lower Saxony.

Rainer Koch is a German jurist and football official. From November 2015 to April 2016, he was the acting president of the German Football Association along with Reinhard Rauball.

The 2016–17 Verbandspokal, consisted of 21 men's German association football regional cup competitions, the Verbandspokale, which serve as qualifying competition for the 2017–18 DFB-Pokal.
