Brendan Hope Jennings, known professionally as Bren.d.o, is an American alternative R&B singer-songwriter, historian, and author from Carrier Mills, Illinois. He gained recognition in 2025 for his singles Electric Love Affair and Boom Boom, which charted high on the iTunes R&B charts. [1] His work combines neo-soul, pop, and electronic production, often drawing comparisons to artists such as Prince and Bruno Mars.
Bren.d.o is also the author of the 2025 novel Chemical Exposure, published through major online retailers including Barnes & Noble, and appeared on MTV’s 2008 reality series When Spicy Meets Sweet .
Bren.d.o began releasing music independently in the early 2020s. His work is often described as genre-blending, combining R&B, Funk, pop, and smooth electronic textures.
In 2025, his single "Boom Boom" reached #32 on the iTunes R&B charts, while "Electric Love Affair", featuring Kendra Chanae, climbed to #12. [1]
His historical contributions were also featured in the 2022 book History of Carrier Mills (volume 2), published by the Carrier Mills–Stonefort Public Library District and compiled by the late former mayor of Carrier Mills Louis P. Shaw, which includes his "Map of the Lakeview Area" and commentary on the Baber Chapel Baber Chapel AME Church and Lakeview community. [2] [3]
He is the creator of the West Harrisburg Incident, an act of Cartographic Vandalism on OpenStreetMap that made its way into academic literature on map vandalism. [4]
Bren.d.o (under his legal name Brendan H. Jennings) ran as a Democratic candidate for Illinois Saline County Board At-large in the 2024 general election. [5] He was not elected.
