Brendan Lukens (born August 15, 1992) [1] is an American guitarist and singer. He was known for being the lead guitarist, & Co-Lead Singer of midwest emo band modern Baseball, until their break up in 2017. [2]

Early & Personal Life

Lukens Was Born on August 15, 1992 In Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. [1] At a young age he started playing guitar and was inspired by pop-punk, and emo bands like blink-182. [3] For all of his life he has been struggling with depression and anxiety. [4] On September 14, 2015 Lukens gave up drinking. [5]

Modern Baseball

In 2011 Brenden and his friends Jake Ewald and starts modern baseball. On November 27, 2012 the band released their first album Sports [6] known for their hit song “tears over beers”. The group would later release Your Gonna Miss It All on February 11, 2014. [7]


After the release of the groups third album Holy Ghost in 2016, Lukens announced that he would not be joining the band on some dates of the upcoming tour of mental health resources. [4] Later the band announced that the rest of the tour was cancelled and that they were going on hiatus [2]
