Brenda Mock Kirkpatrick Brown (born June 21, 1978) is an American college basketball coach. Since 2022, she has been the head coach for the East Tennessee State Buccaneers women's basketball team.
She was previously the head coach of the University of North Carolina at Asheville women's basketball team from 2012 to 2020. [1] Brenda, now going by her married name, Mock Brown, was named head coach at East Tennessee State on August 8, 2022. [2]
As a student-athlete, Mock graduated from Tuscola High School in 1996. She went on to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and sociology in 2000 and a Master of Arts in education in 2001 from Wake Forest University, while playing for the Demon Deacons. [1]

The University of North Carolina at Asheville is a public liberal arts university in Asheville, North Carolina, United States. The Tennessee Volunteers and Lady Volunteers are the 20 male and female varsity intercollegiate athletics programs that represent the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee. Tuscola High School is a public senior high school located in Waynesville, North Carolina, United States, about 30 miles west-southwest of Asheville. Tuscola High School succeeded the original Waynesville Township High School during the 1966 consolidation that merged Fines Creek and Crabtree High Schools with Waynesville. The school was built in the Tuscola community of East Waynesville, near Lake Junaluska and was named after the community in which it was built. Tuscola is a Cherokee word that means "Digging in Many Places". The school's mascot is a Mountaineer and the school colors are black and gold.

Bruce Alan Pearl is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach of the Auburn Tigers men's basketball team. He previously served in the same position for Tennessee, Milwaukee, and Southern Indiana. Pearl led Southern Indiana to a Division II national championship in 1995, during which he was named Division II Coach of the Year by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.
The 1989 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament involved 64 schools playing in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college basketball. It began on March 16, 1989, and ended with the championship game on April 3 in Seattle. A total of 63 games were played.
Brenda Sue Frese is an American women's basketball head coach and former player. Since 2002, she has served as the head coach of the University of Maryland women's basketball team. In her fourth year as head coach, she won the 2006 Women's National Championship. She won the 2009 ACC Regular Season and Tournament Championships – the women's first ACC Championship since 1989. She won another ACC Championship in 2012 and reached another Final Four in 2014. Maryland moved to the Big Ten for the 2014–15 season and Frese led the Terrapins to an undefeated 18–0 conference record and a Big Ten Regular Season Championship in their first year in the Big Ten. The Terrapins advanced to their second straight Final Four and third under Frese in 2015. She was voted AP National Coach of the Year in 2002 and 2021, ACC Coach of the Year in 2013, Big Ten Coach of the Year in 2002, 2015, 2019, and 2021, and MAC Coach of the Year in 2000. At Maryland, she's coached four ACC Players of the Year and four ACC Freshmen of the Year.
Tynesha Rashaun Lewis is an American former professional women's basketball player in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA).
Mickie Faye DeMoss is a former American college basketball coach and player. She was the women's head coach at the University of Florida and the University of Kentucky. She was also an assistant coach at Louisiana Tech University, University of Tennessee, University of Texas, Auburn University, Memphis State University, and the WNBA's Indiana Fever. DeMoss was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018 as a Contributor - Assistant Coach. She retired after 45 years of coaching basketball in some capacity in July 2022, while chief of staff for Georgia Tech women's basketball.
Mt. Juliet High School (MJHS) is a public high school located in Wilson County, Tennessee. It is not within Mt. Juliet city limits, but it serves parts of southern and eastern Mt. Juliet. Ryan Hill, a 2005 MJHS graduate, became the principal July 1, 2023.
Kellie Jolly Harper is an American basketball coach who most recently served as the head women's basketball coach of the Tennessee Lady Vols. She was fired at the end of the 2023–24 season. Prior to coaching at Tennessee, she served as head coach of Missouri State, NC State, and Western Carolina.
The East Tennessee State Buccaneers are the 16 intercollegiate athletics teams that represent East Tennessee State University (ETSU), located in Johnson City, Tennessee. ETSU's teams include men and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis, and track and field; women's-only softball and volleyball; and men's-only baseball and football. The Buccaneers compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level as a member of the Southern Conference (SoCon).

East Tennessee State is coached by Brooks Savage and currently competes in the Southern Conference. The team last played in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament in 2017. In March 2020 the Buccaneers won the SoCon championship.
The Chattanooga Mocs women's basketball team, formerly known as the Lady Mocs, represents the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in NCAA women's basketball competition. The team is coached by Deandra Schirmer, and play their home games at McKenzie Arena.

The 2002 Chattanooga Mocs football team represented the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga as a member of the Southern Conference (SoCon) in the 2002 NCAA Division I-AA football season. The Mocs were led by third-year head coach Donnie Kirkpatrick and played their home games at Finley Stadium. They finished the season 2–10 overall and 2–6 in SoCon play to tied for seventh place.
The 2019–20 NCAA Division I women's basketball season began in November 2019 and concluded prematurely on March 12, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament was scheduled to end at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 5, 2020, but was ultimately canceled. All other postseason tournaments were canceled as well. It was the first cancellation in the history of the NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament. Practices officially began in late September 2019.
The 1948 East Tennessee State Buccaneers football team was an American football team that represented East Tennessee State College (ETSC)—now known as East Tennessee State University—as an independent during the 1948 college football season. Led by second-year head coach Loyd Roberts, the Buccaneers compiled a record of 6–2–1.
The 2023–24 East Tennessee State Buccaneers women's basketball team represented East Tennessee State University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Buccaneers, who were led by second-year head coach Brenda Mock Brown, played their home games at Brooks Gymnasium in Johnson City, Tennessee as members of the Southern Conference.
